Recall loan lads?

Steve Morison

The CCFC Committee has told Steve Morison to call back all loan players in January, one because of NO money and 2nd because of Covid to strengthen our squad. :bluebird: :bluebird:

To be fair I have been told Steve Morison himself due to NO money available wanted to anyway as he wants to see the players for himself perform :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

The only problem for Steve Morison is that Josh Murphy & Max Watters have been injury prone this season.

Also another problem Morison might find is in a couple of the loan deals, their was No recall put in by the CCFC Committee who are total charge over all transfers in and out.

So I don’t know how City stand on that?

11. MURPHY, Josh out on loan to Preston for the rest of 2021-22 season.(50% of wages being paid)

14. VASSELL, Isaac Long term injury.

15. WINTLE, Ryan out on season long loan to Blackpool.

20. WHYTE, Gavin: Gavin Whyte signs for a season long loan to Oxford paying two thirds of Whytes wages.

Max Watters joined MK Dons on a season-long loan.

Can these season long lone players be recalled?

Only one I would recall back is Wintel. Apparently he is having a great season with Blackpool.

Bkackpool are adamant there is no call back on Wintel in January and are in fact putting a bid together to buy him off us.

Well ive read the blackpool manager say he hasnt heard from us regards re call but HOPES he can keep him!
And they can put together any bid they want, he is our player, so unless we agree to sell him,he wont be going anywhere.

Said as much above mate  I only read his statement just a week ago! He stated until and if cardiff call, he is theirs, the operative word being until and if  we need fresh legs in midfield, he has been doing well enough up there, the managers and fans praise say as much, get him back!

I personally want him here and can’t believe the madness that went on to send him to Blackpool in the first place.

Re: Steve Morison has been told:

Bring him back just to make Blackpool weaker, if anything. I'm sure he will get games for us though.

Murphy, when fit, is our best singer and should play. We are desperate. No faffing that he hasn't performed before. He starts, of he's crap, off he comes for a youngster!

Whyte. Same. Will get game time. We need the bodies.

Potentially could see all 3 in the team. If so I'd go...

Smithies
Ng McG Moz Bagan
Whyte Ralls Wintle Giles
Kieffer Murphy

Surely that's a stronger side than we've been fielding?!

Murphy is, a long way from returning to action.

We will just have to stick with the players we got now.
There is a reason why players go out on loan and its because they have been very poor for us
so why on earth would we bring our loaned players back.

Are you daft sam or what? Wintle went on loan without getting game time here! I take it you think they are all worse than we have? And also some went to balance the books!!

Are you talking about Josh Murphy’s brother !!??

Why on earth would you think he is the answer to our prayers when he’s consistently failed under Warnock, Harris and McCarthy ?

Colwill was contributed more in half a season than Murphy did in three seasons. So why would you pick Murphy in front of him ?

Face it, Murphy has all the talent needed to make it as a player but zero amount of the effort required.

Wintle I would have back right now.

Murphy nearing training return

Cardiff's Josh Murphy is closing in on a first-team return for loan club Preston.

The Bluebirds winger has been sat on the sidelines since October after he sustained an ankle injury in training.

The Lancashire Evening Post report that he should back out on the grass next week.

It’s been a frustrating spell for Murphy at Deepdale, with him having been limited to just seven substitute appearances.

The former £11million Norwich City man is out of contract in south Wales next summer and he is expected to move on when it expires.

Ryan Wintle's future up in the air

Blackpool boss Neil Critchley says he is unsure whether Ryan Wintle will at the club beyond January.

Wintle missed the Tangerines' Boxing Day clash with Huddersfield Town and the manager addressed the future of the Cardiff City loanee.

“We don’t know because obviously he’s Cardiff’s player and they can recall him, that’s the agreement that’s in place in January which is normal for every loan player," he said.

“It’s something we’ve discussed internally about Ryan, because he’s been brilliant for us.

“He was a miss for us but Sonny (Carey), for a 20-year-old boy who was playing in an unfamiliar position, was outstanding.

Yes. He is a better player than Colwill. Don't be blinded by the hype, the fact he's one of ours, he has a lot of work to do too! He's played most games and to quote Morison 'the league doesn't lie.' If he's that good why are we effectively 22nd?!

Fact is Murphy is a good player. He needs to play consistently. He was part of our excellent run last year. Combining very well with Kieffer. Then bennett got injured and everything fell apart!

Due to the underperforming of every single player in our squad. Yes. I would have him back.

Along with the rest of them. Whether he plays isn't up to me. But is he better than Davies, Evans, Whyte and Colwill, yes. Of course he is.

All about opinions.

If it was up to me. No more 5 at the back and a positive start. 4 at the back, 2 wide men and one holder! But its not.

I would like more consistency from everyone. 'Youngsters' included, these guys should be playing first team football. Time to prove they are (and better than Murphy).

From what has been said the last month - Players at the club now will leave .....

So some of these loans will be back - Unless we find new faces from other clubs .

No way is Murphy a “better player” than any one you have mentioned. He may have way more ability but time and time again he has failed because he just hasn’t got the appetite for it.

If I thought we would even get a decent game out of him 50% of the time I’d also be banging the drum to get him back.

However, we know that after 3 seasons of abject failure with just a handful of good games, that ain’t gonna happen.

Compare his assists/goals ratio to Colwill pro rata and you’ll realise that Murphy has failed on a major scale under 3 managers (4 if you count Preston as he couldn’t get in the team before he was injured).

Why are people still holding out hope !? Are we really wanting the club to bring him back and pay £24k per week for him to sit on the bench ? We were hardly inundated with enquiries for him in the summer, not everyone can be wrong !!

With Murphy. Banging on playoffs for 2 seasons. He's a scapegoat and not perfect. But he's better than what we have! How many games this years have we cried out for a bit of pace, width, a game changer. He gives you that. Evans did it once and everyone was creaming themselves.

No way is Colwill a "better player" he may have ability but give him time. Just turn around what you said. Same point.

The sooner people realise this is a relegation dogfight the better. We need all hands of deck. 24k a week (until the end of the season) is peanuts to what we'll lose if we go down!

The only reason he is out on loan was a money saving exercise. We all know that. Get them ALL back.

If people actually listen to what Morison said and from what I can see he is not Mr Bullshit. so this is how everything is going to pan out

1. there will be very little movement anywhere in the market especially in the championship.
2. loans as going to be few and far between anywhere
3. We will be pulling our loan players back asap to ensure that we have enough cover in the squad for covid etc.
4. by bringing those players back the squad will be stronger for it.

I think January will be like nothing anyone has seen in their football life. just look at Bristol and just maybe City have dodged a bullet with their cost cutting, we are about to witness carnage in football below the Premier League, lets hope that we are not caught up in it :bluebird:

I agree that Morrison will bring back our loan players and perhaps loan out some of young players and any older ones he doesn’t want to retain in the Summer and is offered some money! Murphy is in the last chance saloon but our new style will suit him. His Cardiff stats are 99 games and 14 goals,Rubin Colwill is at present 19 games,4 goals. Both much better than Bacuna 108 games and 4 goals who I’d try to sell!
