Unless there is a dramatic upsurge in form in the new year, unfortunately, as the season wears on, there will be many headlines about Cardiff's battle in relation to relegation.

The Bluebirds currently sit in 20th in the league table, with two of the four teams below them having been docked points this season.

With Sala and two other court cases hanging over their heads, the prospect of relegation to League One doesn't bear thinking about.

So, Cardiff's battle to stave off relegation will no doubt dominate the narrative as we edge closer to the end of the campaign. With a few tweaks in January, and the continuation of steady improvement we have seen under Morison, Cardiff fans will hope the headlines are more positive than catastrophic.
