Under-23s win the league

What a headline that would be! :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cardiff are currently soaring atop the Professional Development League 2 South table, having won 11 of their 12 games so far this term.

They need promotion as it will help push them against stronger clubs than the likes of Colchester.

They have an 11-point cushion over Bristol City in second place, although the young Robins have two games in hand over their Bluebirds counterparts.

But Cardiff's under-23s have been prolific this season and, with Darren Purse joining the club in the new year as their head coach, it is hoped the work Morison did with these youngsters will continue next year.

The under-23s' success has been a real source of joy for City fans this season, especially amid the backdrop of the first team's awful Championship campaign, and they will want to see more of the same under Purse next year.

No matter what age, a winning mentality breeds confidence and Cardiff will hope that filters upwards through the club.
