Cardiff will go in to the New Year right in the thick of a relegation battle, that’s the truth, reality, let’s not kid ourselves anymore.
Reasons: Lack of investment and poor management and putting way to many U23’s in the first team squad even if they were not really good enough.
City will need to bring a couple of their players back that are out on loan at least and bring in some quality loan signings.
The big problem is apparently their is No money at all and this has been going on the last few seasons , selling, relying on loan players etc.
But clubs now want City to pay some money towards loan players wages and the City board won’t.
We were told that the 10 players that came up from the U23’s squad will solve the problem and an honest Steve Morison has said “The jump is way to big for many of them” and Morison has only been choosing one of them to start.
A few will no doubt eventually go to League 1 & 2 clubs permanently and some loaned out to make them tougher and better players.
City have got 3 or 4 U23 players that are in the verge of really making it, but even they need time.
Rubin Colwill seems to be the one that will be virtually played in every game from January onwards.
But let’s not kid ourselves Cardiff are really now in the thick of relegation battle and will need a strong squad for January onwards as their will not only be Saturday games , their will now be plenty of midweek games to come and Steve Morison will need every player to be up for it .
If it was not for Derby & Readings point deduction Cardiff would be rooted down their and league tables don’t lie.
UPDATED:
‘’Derby County 21 points deducted / Down and out in My View:
‘Reading 6 points deducted and fighting for every point.
