Thought Toshack would have got the job as very successful with Jacks! I wonder what will happen if Morison is not appointed permanent Manager next season?

Excellent appointment. I loved Darren Purse as a player, passionate and fully committed. I like this idea of getting old players back in some capacity. As long as they have the skill set to do the job I think it's a good idea to get people in with a passion for the Club.

A very honest post here, but is Steve Morison appointing these guys? Hudson and Purse. If yes, then great. If the board are filling these places, then it's a very poor attempt by them to win over fans by bringing back some favourite old heads.

As I say, more than happy to leave the board out of this if there is no involvement. If it's Morisons choice, then he's a football man, and I trust his judgement. If it's a board choice then, they may well have got the right man, but there is an underlying process that I for one am not buying.

Love passion and Purse has lots of that and that's what football is about.

Some of us real fans know enough about football to make a judgement on the man appointed and not having an opinion depending on who appointed him.Either way he'll stand or fall by his own endeavors no matter who appointed him.

Why if as you say thet may be board appointments,is it a poor attempt at winning fans over? Id say the opposite tbh, even if they have appointed them, they know the clubs fans, and expectations from their time as players here!why does it matter? As most of us are pleased to see old city heads coming home to ply their trades.what exactly is it you are not buying? You moan the board are disconnected from us, so if this is their doing, then imho, its a positive move to at least appease the fans for once.

He looks for negativity in every single thing the club does or says.
Such a fake.

Look, I see your point of view, but I have a strong opinion too.

The board KNOW in my personal opinion that they have lost the fans in both numbers and hearts and minds. The fans support the team, as I do, and I am no fake ( which I don't take umbrage to as others have opinions as strong as mine on the other side of the fence), but I dont support the board.

They have lost the fans due to the total disrespect, and disdain they have shown a club that was a few Years ago in with a chance of sustained Premier success. They lost that chance because of their ridiculous dabbling, interference, appointments, sacking etc. Now they can't be bothered with the club. They provide it water to keep it alive but apart from that leave it in the wilderness.

If the board suddenly want us to love them because they bring back old favourites then how shallow do they think we are.

For the avoidance of doubt , as long as they are being brought in for the right reason, at the right time then I'm very happy they are here and wish them well.

The only way the board can repair the damage it has done to our club is to accept it's huge mistakes, and leave.

I'm sure you don't expect me to change my views, as I have shared them for long enough. I have those who disagree who I have always said I respect, but I also have some who agree with me.

There is no right and no wrong only opinions. We have lived with Tan for 10 years or more. Long enough to make a judgement, and I've made mine.

But you say the board have “lost the fans” intimating that it’s all of them. They may have lost numbers and some people of a similar mind to you but not all of them.

You consistently make yourself silly by never giving the regime any credit no matter what they do.

Even if this appointment was to appease the fans, which I very much doubt, what would be wrong with that. Would you rather they keep pushing the fans further away ?

Strange.

Pandemic football is in a financial mess. Tan business in financial ruin. City in debt.

So who is likely to invest money and buy city out right now?

I heard on this board that Sam wants back in but he surely doesn't have nowhere near enough money to buy the club let allow pay off the monthly debt.

I agree the board have made many mistakes with one massive one that is unlikely to ever repair the damage it caused until Tan leaves.

However right now we are not in a situation like Derby as we have an owner paying the bills.

Alot of clubs bring back older players in coaching capacities it's been happening for years nothing new and surely majority like it and agree with it.

Again well done the club, morrison the tea lady whoever

Yes, but you made your FINAL decision based on the red debacle??
So not really waited 10 yrs to make your mind up in truth! Do you not also take into consideration the pure crap football that was on offer, keeping some fans away too? Managers spunking big fees & contracts to average players, and now the pandemic has hit hard to boot? You wont be getting your wish of sam returning any time soon imho, pity the two couldnt shake hands and work together!!

In fact I made my decision on Tan when we were relegated from the Prem second time around.

I have to say, the cr*p football is as a direct result of wrong managerial appointments and selling any player that had any level of experience, skill and or speed.

I'll grant you certain managers paid over the odds for poor quality. Absolutely.

And I am definately not in the know, but it really wouldn't surprise me to see Sam back in charge at some point in the near future.
