CCFC Outgoings in January 2022

Cardiff's squad will undergo an overhaul in the summer, given so many players seeing their contracts expire.
If City can make early decisions on who will be kept on and who won't, then it might serve them well to get one or two out the door in January, if there are any takers.
Again, clubs across the Championship are short on cash and any fees they receive for players whose contracts end in just a few months will be paltry, but getting wages off the books can be just as important.
Alex Smithies is a top goalkeeper, but given his reported wages and the fact Dillon Phillips, who is another good keeper, is waiting in the wings, he looks like someone who could leave in the summer.
Will Cardiff look to extend the contracts of three centre backs in Sean Morrison, Aden Flint and Ciaron Brown?
Brown has barely played this season and had a bit of interest from elsewhere in the summer, while both Morrison and Flint are of a similar age and it seems unlikely both will be rewarded with new deals. Can Cardiff shift one out next month?
Similarly, it is thought Cardiff's midfield needs new life, as mentioned above, and Pack, Vaulks and Joe Ralls all see their deals expire at the end of the campaign. If the club have already made a decision, it might be a smart business decision to allow one to go and free up some room in there.
Importantly, the biggest deal of the window would be to keep hold of Kieffer Moore. The best player in the side and the one who has the goals in his locker to keep Cardiff afloat this season. The Bluebirds held firm in the summer despite interest - and a paltry offer - from Wolves and fans will hope they do the same in the January window.
Lastly, one or two youth players would benefit from loans away if that could be made possible. Kieron Evans and Chanka Zimba have had tastes of first-team football and look likely to be part of the club's vision moving forward, so it would be ideal if they could go out and get regular first-team action somewhere for the final months of the season.
That way, they will be even more ready when they are undoubtedly called back into the fray next season.
