Slow defence with slow midfielders in front of them. Teams with pacey players will always be able to exploit that.

I would think that with the current players to pick from it will remain a problem until there is some movement in the transfer market.

We've had 5 or 6 seasons on relying on big, strong, physical centre halves with no requirement for doing anything other than stopping.

Morison is now asking them to actually play the ball out and push further up the pitch meaning that we need more pace to be able to cover that extra space. Of the current CBs only McGuinness looks capable of doing that so this isn't going to change overnight. It's not a case of coaching, more a case of personnel.

We just have to hope that it improves enough for us to stop conceding at the current rate until we can change personnel.

I agree. Theres only so much polishing a turd will take.

I think Morrison suits the way Morison wants to play better than Flint, so I'm still worried about the next two games while Morrison is suspended, after that I think we will improve a bit.

As people have said, opposing players seem to find space and time in-between the midfield and defence and we seem to get caught on quick breaks when we send the big boys up for corners and long throws.

Morrison and Hudson should easily be able to make improvements and solutions to improve these problems and hopefully as others have said, look to add some pace in the middle of the defence and midfield, we need a new Gabbidon.

Would you say that about morrison if we where still loosing every week we excpect and improvement in some degree even after a month
We cannot afford to be the worse defence in the championship are we still playing 5 at the back like mccarthy did

I just think it's way too early to rate any of the current coaching team at this point and most will 'see' that after recent happenings at the club

And no I wouldn't expect major improvements after four weeks; just indicators we are moving forward, which we are...
