Neil,
Yes they probably would be and I think we would be in the bottom three if they and Reading had all their points.

Sadly, I think you are right Annis. While everyone was seeing us as potential play offs or promoted, I said to my son before the season started, I think we are going to struggle this season. However, it gives me no pleasure to be right so far and I really hope we can string a few results together as we lack consistency. I reckon that possibly forty points could be enough to stay up this season as Derby nor Barnsley look likely to reach that figure and I would be surprised if Peterborough did. That means seven wins and a few draws to be sure over the second half of the season - surely we are capable of that even with this much weakened squad.

I could see last July/ August Neil, I put on here that the squad was going to be a lot weaker than last season and we will struggle, like you I wish I had been wrong.
But the signs were their, and throwing 10 players in from the U23’s squad in to the first team squad was always going to be a disaster.
Steve Morison has said it’s a massive step up, that’s why he is only using one to start every game. And Morison should know they were his players for two years.

I think Morison is doing an excellent job so far and should with luck just about keep us up. where we go from there though is another matter as if we get rid of most of the experienced out of contract players we will have no option but to put out a full team of youngsters and that could be another very difficult season.
