Watching the game from afar and after a tough opening period the Bluebirds made good headway and created a few decent chances themselves

I thought the Nelson booking was harsh, as he seemed to get the ball in what was a smart old-fashioned tackle

The Deeney goal was typical of many conceded this season and individual players didn't do enough to stop the man running through them

That seemed to set the Bluebirds back and we could have easily been another goal down well before Brum scored their second


HALF-TIME SCORE: BIRMINGHAM CITY 2 - 0 CARDIFF CITY


The second half started as the first ended with Birmingham on top and the more likely to score next with the now confident home side in the ascendancy. Deeney himself will have felt very unlucky not to have added to his tally

In opposite fashion, the Bluebirds seemed not to be able to get their game together until the substitutions were made and the shape changed. From that point on, the Bluebirds were in the ascendancy themselves and came close through Moore and Davies

Birmingham were certainly on the back foot and looking to hold on to their now slender lead for a short while before starting to create a few chances themselves

As the game wore on into its last 10 minutes, Keiffer Moore could/should have doubled his tally and drawn the Bluebirds level

As the game looked to be heading for another defeat for the Bluebirds, up popped Mark McGuiness to score a 91st minute equaliser to send the very vocal travelling Bluebird supporters into raptures

A very important point that shows this team and this manager will not give up!

I back the current manager. He has changed both style and formation for the better and it shows. The issue seems (once again) to be individual errors and the luck does seem to be going against us a little this season (two bookings that weren't)

However, this is not the time to panic. We have some winnable games ahead and our players are better equipped now than they were a month or so ago

If we can get two or three of our loaned out players back in January (Wintle, Whyte and the enigmatic Murphy for me) plus a couple of new loans, I think the second half of the season will be a positive one that will see us safe

The question for me at that point (end of season) is where do we go next?

That will be an interesting time and with so many 'experienced' players unlikely to be retained/offered new contracts, it is not one current trends within the club suggests is going to be overly positive

But as true Bluebirds, we keep the faith and hope the blue skies will return once the dense clouds disperse

Great assessment Chris,one thing morison must realise is we play much better with 4 at the back? At 2-0 we looked buried tbf, but as you say, this team fights to the end, and for me that's a positive, as before at that score, more defensive players would have been brought on, so as not to be hammered! It's good to see morison sees that changes are needed, and he is very positive in the changes he makes.
We MUST be patient, we all KNEW it wouldnt happen overnight,but it is slowly showing a different approach, I for one sm glad we are in this transition period, and every point gained is welcom, there are NO easy games in this division, and all teams can pull off a run of good results.look at Blackburn this year!I'm exited for the rest of the season tbh.onwards and upwards.CCFC!
