MY VIEW:” ARE CARDIFF THE COMEBACK KINGS? “

Sat Dec 11, 2021 4:57 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:
:bluebird: :bluebird:

RALLS CAPTAIN / MOORE / COLWILL STARTED TODAY & FOR ME THIS WAS THE BEST CARDIFF PUT OUT FROM THEIR SQUAD & MANAGED TO SCRAPE A DRAW AT FELLOW STRUGGLERS BIRMINGHAM CITY.

Steve Morison team are becoming the comeback kings
Very worrying is, that this squad is NOT as good as the media and many believe as results and the league position does not lie.

BUT WHAT CARDIFF HAVE GOT IS A BATTLING /NEVER SAY DIE DETERMINATION & A MANAGER WHO HAS THE TEAM FULLY WITH HIIM :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird:

Only one player from the Academy / Under 23's were in the staring line up as Morison believes in City's position more experienced players are needed.

AS NEARLY 2,000 CARDIFF FANS WENT WILD WITH A 91ST EQUALISER BY McGuniness :bluebird: :bluebird:

First-Half: Cardiff matched Birmingham for 30mins,but terrible defending and sloppiness and not enough quality for Cardiff to open up Brum.

Second-Half: Kieffer Moore got Cardiff back in to the game, scoring and making it 1-2 and City never gave up and with mins to go made it 2-2 :bluebird: :bluebird:
:bluebird:

A FAIR RESULT :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF CITY 2 BIRMINGHAM CITY 2 :bluebird: :bluebird:

30th: GOAL! Birmingham City 1-0 Cardiff City
Deeney slots home after a Cardiff error on the edge of the box.

GOAL! Birmingham City 2-0 Cardiff City (Sunjic)

Not sure where to start with this one, sloppiness and terrible defending by Cardiff

H-T 2-0

59thmin: Double change as Collins and Nelson make way for Harris and Davies.

63mins; Another Cardiff sub as Vaulks comes on for Pack.

68th min: GOAL! Birmingham City 2-1 Cardiff City (Moore) :bluebird: :bluebird:
Moore powers home. Lovely strike .

91st min:GOAL! Birmingham City 2-2 Cardiff City (McGuinness) :bluebird: :bluebird:

Deserved point? yes. Stunning comeback, again? Yes, valuable point? Yes Never say die attitude? Yes.

Now that's out of the way, we simply cannot allow clubs in and around our league position not only to take the lead against us but to grab a two or three goal lead.

If anyone thinks this result is a turning point, or if anyone thinks suddenly we are performing, or if people somehow think we are good enough, then I'm sorry but they are deluded.

We have been stripped of speed, wide men, strength in depth. Stripped of midfield nous, stripped of experience.

I'm telling it as it is, Sam Hammam would NEVER EVER have put the club in such a position where we would be seen as serious relegation candidates. If our board knew anything about football, they should have been aware that their actions would only have resulted in one thing, a huge relegation battle.

Well done to the players who show fight and willing, as well as the long suffering fans who travel in numbers to follow the players.

I am very very worried.

Behind the scenes its not good, our future is not as good as the local media make out.

Tan needs now to move on ASAP.

It’s the youngsters that are carrying the team at the moment not the experienced players! Colwill,Mcguinness and Giles started and Davies and Harris made all the difference when they came on to gain a point! Experienced professionals Pack,Flint,Nelson and Collins were poor, we need to go back to playing 4,3,3 to strengthen the midfield and Hudson needs to sort out our terrible defensive set up.When you score two goals away from home 9 times out of 10 you should win?

We have proved we have willing, and to an extent the fight. We fight when we are behind.... Im not sure what else we have proved today, or indeed what else we can prove?

Willing and fight needs to be recognised, supported and supplemented by the board. A board that has no fight, shows no willingness towards the club or it's supporters, and has zero interest in moving the club forward.

Davies is looking like he’s gonna be a good player, every time I see him play I’m impressed. Hopefully he can get his first goal soon :ayatollah:

Missed the game today.

Did we switch to a back 4 when Nelson came off?

We would be in the bottom 3 of it was not for Derby and Readings point deductions

Hopefully, another 2 clubs will get a 9 point deduction minimum...we will then be safe.

C'mon City Onwards and upwards

Let's all blame him for the awful fking defending that put us 2-0 down.

You couldn't make it up.

We must be well ahead in the Comeback League to anyone else.

It immediately comes to mind the games against Forest away 2-1, Stoke away 3-3 from 3-0 down, Huddersfield home 2-1 with a last minute winner and today at Brum with a last minute equaliser to make it 2-2.

Don't forget allowing a dreadful Peterborough side to go two up against us.......

We should have been 1 or 2 up in the first 15 minutes.
Weak in the tackle throughout.
Weren't wining any second balls.
Grateful for the point.

I think we probably need two centre halves who can play the ball in Jan if we’re sticking with a back three. McGuinness can play in a back three fine but I have no faith in the others.

Alternatively if we revert to a back four we probably need a sitting midfielder who isn’t shit.

Get Wintle back in January to replace Pack who is a cart horse.

Our awful Defending has been the cause of us being behind time and time again

But James Collins , is not good enough upfront to score us goals .

22 appearances in all competitions and 1 goal for us.
