But Jay is on contention.
Fri Sep 17, 2010 1:57 pm
I'll wait and see what carl says, thanks....in the hope you're wrong!!
Fri Sep 17, 2010 1:59 pm
to be fair that's what bluebirds 23 said and his track record is as good as Lord Carl's.

Sticky if thats so, then we wont run away with this Division like we all thought
Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:11 pm
I don't think he is the new fowler, with fowler it was always new injuries due to the poor way he'd looked after himself throughout his career.
Craig has the meniscus issue which he's had for several years. Infinitely more manageable than Fowler.
Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:16 pm
Also add on to that Craig plays for Wales as well it’s a real worry.
Then there’s Koumas, Riggot and Drinkwater all got injury history,
We are then left with last season’s team plus Naylor& Keogh.
At least if Jay is back we can push Keogh up front as well.
Are some of the loanees really up for the battle ?
If we don't own the player we can't push them out when they are 80/90% fit like we do with Jay.

Jay flew out with the team did he?
Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:19 pm
Bottom line is we will striggle against the Swich without Oli. The others not so much, they're more interchangable.
But Oli out means that liability Rae will once again be charged with screening tha bck four - yikes!

2blue works at Cardiff airport, I'm assuming he saw the team today. That's why I asked.

good thinking. it's amazing how many quality "sources" we have on here with carl, bluebirds23, 3blue etc. Better than most good journalists!

great another defeat then without oli our midfield is shite hope jay b is fit then ill have some hope
Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:27 pm
Look at it logically.
If we push the injured players out tomorrow and they aggravate their injuries we could lose them for lengthy spells.
We've got 4 matches to the next international break.
If we get 2 or 3 back before and the rest after we can push on in good shape.
Fingers crossed.

Team could be as Tuesday
Jay for Jason.
expect 4 4 2
Keogh up front with J.
No good playing 4 5 1 if we havn't got the players .
Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:40 pm
JFH played 36 games for us. Will Craig match it?
Sinclair played 21
Robbie 13
No Déjà Vu please

Fair play JFH gave it a go even if he struggled at times.
I actually think he could have stayed on in a coaching role,
to pass on his Enthusiasm. That’s one thing I feel is still lacking on the coaching side.

Cannot believe our luck at the moment. I fear for our midfield. McPhail is not going to handle a full 90 minutes and Rae, well he had his good game againsy Hull. I wonder if we will be Blake or Matthew in midfield tomorrow sometime. At least are fit, I think.
Well at least our defence are looking a bit decent these days but we do need to tighten up the midfield. Dont know how we are going to do that with these injuries except risk the inexperienced Blake or Matthews there.
Fri Sep 17, 2010 4:04 pm
Yeah Jay flew but others mentioned didn't
Fri Sep 17, 2010 4:17 pm
bellers is definitely out
Fri Sep 17, 2010 4:32 pm
Darcey should play the Olly role. Put Rae on the Bench. We do have options its weather DJ will use them or not.

Bellamy is porbably the one we have best quality cover for - in Koumas
Its Oli and Bothroyd that worry me.
Their cover (Rae/Blake and Keough) is nowhere near as good.
They are the 2 key players for us, especially with Drinkwater out as maybe we can live with one of Oli and H20 out, but not both.
Same goes for jay, if we had Cjhopra or Bellamy available we could switch it around.
So lets hope we've got at least 1 of Jay or Oli available - even just for 60 mins.

Dont agree with Darcy Chief

Wouldn't everybody prefer injuries now rather than march/april? (Not saying they won't happen.)
I would personally think that the run in to the close of season is more important than the run up to Xmas.

Yup! I reckon Darcy would be awesome in a 5 man midfield, sitting in front of the back 4.
Fri Sep 17, 2010 5:50 pm
Keogh will be better in a 4-4-2.
Don't think it will be Koumas that sits tho, prob mcphail.

Sheep - we need to get as many points on the board early doors as possible. A plefora of injuries in so few games is a shambles as far as our training routine goes and coupled with us having played so few games in a 6/7 week spell since the season started. WE CANNOT be playing catchup this season and only making the playoffs.

you're right what you're saying but how many times have we seen medicore championship sides start the season poor, then not lose a game until the close? Then end up second or third...playoffs not good enough? jesus mate what do you want blood?
