Free trees for everyone

The Welsh government are giving everyone in Wales a free tree to plant ,are they for real ,as much as I care for the environment,2 million apparently this is costing,a reduction in council tax would be more welcome ,or pay the NHS staff more etc , unreal.

£2m is 0.009% of the Welsh Government’s annual budget. The NHS is already getting an extra £380m added to their previous spending, bringing the total spending for Health and Social services to £9.9Bn.

Finally.. and after 22 years, a good idea has emerged. Never let it be said the Assembly wasn’t value for money.

Ok if you have spare cash but our ambulances are under so much pressure would rather get the basics right rather than like also wasting money giving a lot of people who do not want to work £500 for xmas and wasting money on trans gender identification

The use of the word "free" very aptly puts into perspective how our govt sees finance. What they mean is paid for by our taxes.

If you cared for the environment you'd be happy that they are planting trees!

Can we now not spend money on anything positive now because the NHS staff don't get paid enough?

I agree they should get paid more but they knew what they signed up for.
