FAW CCS payments for Wales games

Wed Nov 17, 2021 8:07 am

Does anyone know what Cardiff city get out of hosting Wales games? I would imagine we get a good deal but you never know with our board! Do we get catering and beer sales? Who pays for staffing bills etc

Always thought surely it’s a bonus over other championship clubs hosting up to 5/6 internationals a year for our finances?

Always wanted to know how it works.

We use to get £50,000 plus, we keep the profit from the catering, they get programme money of course.

And they use to train on it.

I would expect more now.

Millennium Stadium use to be £200,000.

All this was quite a few years back.

We also get a lot of free publicity and it helps boost the image of the club home and abroad, especially as the name of the stadium is still "Cardiff City Stadium".

Sounds cheap to me I’m all for Wales games there as it’s great when it’s full but I really hope Ccfc are getting more than 50k doesn’t pay for much in the footballing world! Maybe our assistant coach annual wages :)

Staff wages and pitch prep etc must be a fair whack!

Do the club own the catering outlets now or still that silly Ridsdale deal on going?

Another big question is do we think the FAW will move the play off game to the egg stadium?

Aye, social media showed most of it flying through the concourse air as the Muppett celebrations ensued

Why anyone thinks that is 'okay' to do is beyond me; but then again, it would involve consideration of others

Still, at least the dry cleaners will be making a wage this next few days... :|
