The play-offs are set to take place between March 24 to March 29 next year, with Wales having already secured a spot through their impressive showing in the Nations League.
The 10 group runners-up from the UEFA qualifying groups will go into the play-offs along with the two best-ranked sides from the Nations League.
The top six ranked runners up will be seeded at home.
So, what does all that mean for Wales and what needs to happen on Tuesday night for them to ensure they have a home semi-final?
Well, there are a few scenarios in which that could happen.
The obvious one is simply to beat Belgium. Easier said than done, of course, given the Belgians are the No.1-ranked team in the world, but a win on Tuesday night will guarantee a home semi-final for Wales.
If they draw, Wales will still secure a home play-off clash if Turkey fail to win in Montenegro by four goals and/or Norway fail to beat Netherlands by three goals.
If Wales do lose to Roberto Martinez's side on Tuesday night, then they will be away in their play-off semi-final tie in March.
If Wales do secure an away play-off semi-final, they could come up against Portugal, Scotland, Italy or Russia, all of whom have booked a home semi-final already.
In contrast, North Macedonia and Austria are confirmed as away teams with one match day still left to play.
The semi-final play-off matches will be allocated by the six seeded sides being drawn from 1-6 and the six unseeded teams drawn in the final six slots to make up the away opponents.
Path A is formed by semi-finals 1 and 2, Path B is formed by semi-finals 3 and 4 and Path C is formed by semi-finals 5 and 6.
A further draw will then take place to determine which semi-final winners will play at home for the three finals.
The play-off is on Friday, November 26 and will be held in Zurich.

Got a feeling it will be Scotland - and a chance to get revenge for Joe Jordan's cheating at Anfield.
