Why losing Tuesday is a concern.....

Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:24 pm

those that are saying it's only our first defeat let's not be down beat etc..., i disagree what this highlight's is the "no fight in the belly" of the like's of rae, mcphail appears time after time in games the sooner these 2 are gone in Januart the better i just hope we don't need to call on them too much until jones has a further transfer kitty.

having been at leicester tuesday, id say there was a hell of a lot more fight in mccphail than id say whitts for example. :ayatollah:

Whitts brings more to the table throughout the season he can be excused for the odd no fight mentality, mcphail is one dimensional , cant tackle, cantt shoot, cant' even side foot a ball on target (chance whitts set up for him v hull).

These 2 guys have been with us 5 years time to move on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

i agree to an extent, when we have a fully fit squad they wont play anyway. but they are good squad players, and i think people getting on mcphails back is a tad harsh. mcphail was one of the more commited tuesday :ayatollah:
opinions :D

yeh, how he avoided gettting booked in the 2nd half il never know. in my opinion he showed more fight than the people around him, he had to do the battling of koumas, rae, burke, and whitts.

Whitts was an abortion Tuesday night. Ok when things are going well he can produce but when we need to get stuck in he may as well not be on the pitch.

I find it difficult to agree with that Chief to be excused of not putting a shift in is wrong. These guys are not paid a pittance and when some of the guys on the terraces work nights for a pittance then i find it difficult to agree.
Whitts isn't the sort of player to get stuck in perhaps away games when it is a bit of a bruiser is a bit to much for him.

Whittingham is a bone idol tw@t who had a flash in the pan goal scoring streek last year which will never be repeated. We would have been better off taking the money off Forest and getting rid.

Without being too simplistic I think Tuesday night was a very good example as to the strength of our squad and where I think we will be at the end of the season

FULL SQUAD = 3 Pts - most of the time.
2 Players Out = Should still get a good %age of home points - Slightly less away.
6 Players Out = Away (Mostly defeats and draws) Home (The odd win, but struggling)

Lets be realistic. Tuesday night we had 5 or 6 players out away at a side who were in last seasons play offs. With the side we had I would have been happy to get a point - but that didnt happen.

We could have played both Bellamy and Bothroyd, brought them back early, and they could have been out for longer.

Essentially we have "Sacrificed" one game for the greater good. Thats fine with me :)

Agreed mate!

Bellamy just hasnt got it in him to play three games in a week. I was dreading the
Wales games coming up. But I still feel he'll play most games for us. Sounds like he
was ready to play Tuesday but Jones said no. Well done Dave Jones IMO

Apart from Jay Whitts is our best attacking player at the moment. If he feels like he doesn't have to track back that's the manager fault. Buck stops there.

You can't have any player feeling like they can get away without putting in their shift on both sides of the ball!
