Mike Flynn: Did he walk out expecting?

Wonder if he walked from Newport thinking he’d get a look in at the City job. Pie on his face now though thankfully for us, can’t imagine what was going through his mind when Kieffer netted the winner against Huddersfield.

Nothing against flynn, personally, but he is not what we need right now. He would have been another Harris or Mick type appointment where he'd need to win the fans over from day 1. There would have been no room for a poor results as it wouldn't take much for the fans to turn and we'd be paying another manager off.

Its clear to see already that morison has us heading in a certain direction and so far the fans appear to be on board with it. I think as long as we can see that progress is being made on the pitch, the fans will be more lenient with a few bad results under morison - to a certain point obviously. Patience will be needed though.

Flynn will get a job soon enough.

In the frame for Barnsley and Charlton

Think he’ll do OK, but also don’t think he was the man for us ?

Seems he was (not so quietly) telling people, too; and they were way too premature in letting the cat out of the bag

A few of us confidently said a week or so before that it wasn't going to happen and it didn't

I don't think he is a poor manager at his level but I don't think he (or his supposed man management style) was right for us; particularly right now

I'm not sure if he left Newpot of his own volition or if it was more 'mutual agreement' but his tenure there was on the wane for reasons that are for insiders at Newpot to put out (or not)

Did he leave Newpot believing he was 'in the frame' (or even a 'shoe-in' for the Cardiff City job?

I'm inclined to believe he did but I'm glad it didn't pan out

He was never coming here!

The club are lining up someone else at the end of the season.

Great to see Mark Hudson come back.
