MY VIEW: AS MORISON APPOINTED RALLS AS CAPTAIN, CITY BATTLE

Sat Nov 06, 2021 4:57 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

AS MORISON APPOINTED RALLS AS CAPTAIN, CITY BATTLED & NEVER GAVE UP & NOW ONLY ONE DEFEAT FROM CITY;S LAST THREE GAMES / WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT AS CITY COME BACK & WIN 2-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

THE PLAYERS ARE PLAYING FOR STEVE MORISON / THEY BELIEVE :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF FANS GO WILD :bluebird:

BUT IT WILL NOT MATTER WHO MANAGES CARDIFF CITY / THE SQUAD IS WEAK & VERY LITTLE INVESTMENT MEANS THE CLUB IS LOOKING AT THE LOWER LEAGUES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 18 YEARS & THE WORST EVER RUN OF RESULTS IN THEIR 122 YEAR HISTORY ? WE MUST INVEST IN JANUARY

KIEFFER MOORE 2 GOALS :bluebird: :bluebird:

We actually could of lost this game 5nil, we just dont have the quality and I feel sorry for Steve Morison

Joe Ralls was made Captain as Flint was dropped in place of Sean Morrison :bluebird: :bluebird:

Family stand looked virtually empty, and sadly the most of the ground had so many empty seats

Cardiff without a win in their last 10 League games and only 1 win in their last 13 matches went in to this home game knowing they might need a win to prevent themselves going in to the bottom 3 of the Championship.

GIVE STEVE MORISON A CHANCE :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

WE WANT STEVE MORISON AS MANAGER :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

FIRST-HALF: Early goal again conceded, But total lack of quality
We should of been 3nil down, the quality is not there
Cardiff one shot on target, but 60% possession.

SECOND-HALF: Huddersfield were the better side, but Cardiff fought and got a win in the last minute :bluebird: :bluebird: , even though could of lost 5nil.

CARDIFF CITY 2 HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 1 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 0-1

Cardiff City: Smithies; Ng, McGuinness, Flint, Nelson, Giles; Ralls, Pack, Bacuna; Harris, Moore.

Subs: Phillips, Morrison, Brown, Vaulks, Colwill, I. Davies, Zimba.

9th min: Big blow for Huddersfield:

Early sub for Huddersfield, then. A blow for them.

Captain Hogg goes off and Scott High comes on.

11th Min: GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Huddersfield Town (Sinani )
Oh no. Horror moment for McGuinness. His backpass is intercepted and it's a goal.

Early goal again conceded, But total lack of quality
We should of been 3nil down, the quality is not there

H-T 0-1

60th min: Harris off, Isaak Davies on.

WOW! WORLD-CLASS SAVE!

Thomas swings in a corner to the back post and Levi Colwill heads it towards Smithies near post from just yards out.

Miraculously, Smithies' left hand denies him!

Post!

Big let-off for Flint there. His poor ball forward is pinged back and he is outmuscled by Danny Ward, who flicks it over Smithies, but it hits the post!

70th min: McGuinness off, Colwill on.

73rd min: GOAL! Cardiff City 1-1 Huddersfield Town (Moore 74)
GOAL! Moore scores from the corner! :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Ralls swings in a lovely corner to the near post and the striker rises and buries it.

77min: Ward off, Campbell on.

City battled to the end :bluebird: :bluebird:

GOAL! Cardiff City 2-1 Huddersfield Town (Moore 90)
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL! Moore heads home! :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

We were the better team.

Delighted with the result against a team who are doing very well.

I really hope Steve Morison is given a chance by the board. He has made a huge difference and I voted him MOTM today.

He deserves another couple of games for sure.

I just hope he is learning from these sluggish starts.

5 at the back does not f*cking work... we look better and more balanced with a back 4.

Wide men are needed. Both sides.

Get crosses in and Moore will score.

I didn't think we were the better team and if Ward had his shooting boots we would have lost. Individuals had awful performances again. Sorry but McGuiness was dreadful. However, credit the team for carrying on and never giving up. Huge win. An emotional win. Morison for manager.

Huge 3 points. Battling display from the city but we lack quality. Morison clearly enjoys being at the club and should be given a chance.
Realistically I think he is the best option

Abandon this 5 at the back. We need more attacking/high energy players further forward. Recall the loan players even watters if needs be.

We would be bottom three if we had not won

There is nothing better than an injury time winner.
Morison in :bluescarf:

Flint should have been Captain. He went straight to McGuiness to lift his spirits after the first goal and called it constantly.

A few different options on this thread, one with we could of lost 5-0,with another saying we were the better side, how differently people view the same game, you got to love football, massive three points and hopefully a bit of confidence for the players

But we did, and we are not! It's fine margins in this league, swansea had over 65% possession v bournemouth, and got thumped 4-0! We are taking baby steps, but imho, they are steady ones, and I can think of a thousand times where teams have won games, whilst not being brilliant, I'll take a 1-0with one shot on target, and 20% possesion, our strikers have hardly been prolific in games. and get stick for it, no different at any other club that loses a game fans think they deserved to win? You make your own luck, perhaps ours is slowly changing in our favour.
