Shows where we are as a club if we're appointing a failed League 2 manager.

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

I hope we are not looking to him to be our saviour ffs

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

Spot on, the squad is weak and does not have the quality Dalman and Media Wales bullshit to you all.

Just said on sky sports Steve Morrisons last game as caretaker manager

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:05 pm

Haven't heard a good word said about the guy.

Morrison is the man for now, he knows the players, he knows the club, they clearly are trying to play for him. Give him until the end of the season.

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:10 pm

I don't know if he still lives locally.

But everything I've heard suggests he won't be our next manager.

Sounds like he was just going along to a game to watch.

I really hope we give the job to Steve Morison, but I don't know if the board will unfortunately.

I would hope at least until January, but we all know the board will probably make the wrong decision again. I'd rather see Warnock come back than half the managers on that list.

Watch dalhman f.ck it all up now

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

If Dalman says he won’t take risks with the appointment of the next manager, how does appointing Flynn make sense.

Should have backed Wilder.

Does anyone actually know if Flynn was there?

No , talksport reported was there. I’d rather Morison be given a go at least until end of the season. Think is best option if we have no money

That’s certainly not 100% then.

If Vincent Tan is so stupid that he would approve the appointment of Flynn then he would deserve to lose a fortune. Trouble is all the supporters would lose out as well.

No! No! No!

Strange place to be if running eye over team... unless thought he wouldn't be recognised with his son? And in fairness no one bothered him just a dad watching football with son no one from club with him either...

It would seem a slightly odd situation, Allan; but he (and likely his son) are football people, so why not attend a 'local' game?

From any point of view, I wouldn't be too concerned that Mike Flynn was there or where he.was siting and you can only imagine the even bigger assumptions had he been in the Directors Box?

All the (limited) info coming out of the club suggests Mike Flynn will not be the next Bluebird manager; but until the new guy (or gal) is announced, we only know to expect the unexpected where our club is concerned

Good to hear he was left alone to watch the game with his boy but equally did many actually know who he was?

Re: ' Michael Flynn '

What must be going on in Dalmans head and Choo Choo for that matter.

They screwed up both with McCarthy and Harris. Russell Slade was the curve ball of all curve balls and Trollope - I can understand why thay gave him the job - but he is not a manager as we all now know.

So how does Dalman rationale his decision of who to appoint - based on experience and of where we are - there is a Warnock (not saying we go get him) but more than anyone he will get you out of the relegation zone and up the table. Pulis, Hughes are both available as well.

If we want the tippy tappy stuff - then who do you go for that is available ? - Beale (unproven), Houghton (proved he's not that good as Forrest showed), Morris (unproven), Morison (proven at an U23 level).

If it were me - I would be tempted to give to Morison - till xmas and if out the relegation zone and mid table - then offer him the job or if it goes belly up - hit the panic button at xmas and then make the change. Morison has to prove his credentials at this level - and the only way he can do that is by gaining experience.

He seems level headed enough, knows how he wants to play, has communicated this tio the players - who also want to play his way.

we were a bit lucky yesterday - they hit the post twice - and knowing our luck those shots usually go in. I think this time - Morison is a risk worth taking.

Chris if those around me knew I'm sure others did... he is quite recognisable as well hard to know what he was there for as didn't take down notes ... but if he was up for another club like suggested why wasn't he there instead of city? Guess time will tell

Maybe just showing his son where his Dad will be managing soon!

Morison has done an ok job so far, but just an ok job not brilliant. You have to take into account that somehow McCarthy turned us into a pretty useless spineless side who could neither defend or score a goal. To get four points after eight straight defeats and against three sides in or near to the playoffs is no mean feat even if we were lucky not to be further behind against both Stoke and Huddersfield. There is evidence of some green shoots of recovery and obviously Morison is the best person to integrate the young players into the team.

Personally I think anything other than giving Morison a go till January is taking a risky leap in the dark from a board not always renowned for its good football judgement. There is no real way of knowing whether Morris Beale or Flynn would be better managers than him so lets stick with Morison for the moment.
