‘ Frustrating ‘

Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:59 pm

So frustrating that the club are trying to change things now, when we are in deep shit. Drive for youth and a better passing game should have been implemented when we had parachute payments to use rather than peanuts we have now. What genius at the club thought that brining in youngsters who play brilliant passing football would easily transition into micks hoofball? Many fans have been crying out for change for years. Looks like its too little too late though.

I fully expect Flynn to be named as manager after Saturday which would literally sum up these clowns running the club. The club need to be brave and stick to what is happening now. If its not given to Morison then it should be another modern coach at least.

Personally I'd stick with morison. Although we lost last night, there is clearly an improvement in performances and style of play. If he can do that in a week then give him more time. If the u23s are playing similar football they can make the stepup easier. We need to stick with this. Swansea had a shaky start to the season implementing change and are now reaping the rewards. Id give morison money to spend with the money we've saved on not bringing in another manager. Id also recall wintle and whyte. That might give us enough to stay in the league.

Bring in a director of football and f**k dalman off. The guy is a parasite.

Agree with all you’ve said.
It’s too little and maybe too late!
I’d be happy with Morison also but I can relieve your anxiety, it won’t be Flynn. He’s not even on their short list.

I really hope that it's not Flynn, and yes we really need a director of football. Trouble is that as they don't seem to know anything about bringing in players or managers, the chance of them picking a decent director of football is pretty slim.
They might think about picking Harris as they're already paying him. :banghead: :banghead:

Our football has been a million times better in the last game and half and if there is no clear candidate who stands out that wants the job then I'd be more than happy for morison to be given until the end of the season :ayatollah:

I think most agree - we need to adopt a football philosophy which is more about keeping it on the ground. Using a style that is taught throughout the club - so that any kid can make the step up.

We know we can always go back to the usual long through stuff whenever we want

I still don't think our batch of youngsters are good enough.

I have to say though, that for the 1st time this season, I was fairly impressed by Colwill. Unlike the rest of the youngsters, against QPR he didnt play like a kid and showed some maturity.

Haven't they brought in someone to help identify managers? Maybe they are finally realising they don't have a clue what they are doing.

Colwill will be a really good player. He only broke into the u23s last season and is now a 1st team regular and international. If he carries on like he is, he will have a very good career.

Its a bit soon/unfair to say the others arnt good enough. They've all been thrown in at the deepend in a system they don't play in the u23s. Even the senior players struggled with how we've been playing. They will all benefit from the football we've seen under morison.

Lee, dud you not think Keiron Evans looked like he could step up?

For me, he looked our best outlook at times in a similar vain to that horrid little Chair for QPR...
