Looking at our position, even with a few wins, it is going to take us a while to start climbing the table. Morison can't really do it in his two remaining games and neither can anyone else, so is there any point appoiniting someone else now. Maybe the board should ask the players if they buy into what he is trying to do and as many others have said give him a run until the January window to see where we stand. It is after all the players that have to implement his ideas and it was very clear they didn't like what Mccarthy was asking for. The early signs are the Morison has them on board.

Agreed.

I've been saying this right from the start of McCarthy's demise !! Morison is no numpty and, unless we are able to attract somebody of proven quality like Wilder or, even, Beale why not give Morison a chance ?

If it works it not only helps the players pathway into the team but also coaches will buy into it and you have a real chance of changing the culture as so many of us have been asking for.

Unless there are a couple of disasters over the next two games i.e. more 4-0 defeats, etc., I think we would be best placed holding our nerve and giving him until Christmas and then see where we are.

Or the players don't like what is being asked of them. Or the players don't like who's asking :)
I suppose there is an internal conflict.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Morison went elsewhere if he doesn’t get it unfortunately!

Annis I understand that the board are not going to make an immediate appointment, they are going to take their time, so maybe Morison may get more than 3 games, unless there is a brilliant manager out there that we can bring in  :ayatollah:

Roger,

I believe and hear the same.

I think if Morison could get 4pts that would keep him longer anyway :thumbright: :bluebird:

Let's be fair, if anyone had said we'd get 5 points out of these particular three games at the start we would have bitten their hand off

The fact that we're even talking in those terms just shows the change in optimism levels

Tonight is going to be difficult against one of the better footballing teams in the league.
It's essential that the crowd gets behind the team throughout but also that as many season ticket holders as possible get down there to support them.
It's not unusual particularly for midweek games in the winter with games on the red button or various other reasons for people to stay away and the crowd to be a fraction of tickets sold.
We are in a real battle at the moment and all of us have a part to play.
