Personally I think it will all depend on Steve Morison results.
Mike Flynn the new favourite
Jody Morris, Michael Beale and Michael Flynn are out in front for the Cardiff job - with the latter the new favourite with bookmakers.
Morris and Beale are priced at 4/1, with former Newport County boss Flynn now at 7/2 - the first time he has been placed as the frontrunner.
As ever, the bookies' view is never entirely accurate but it appears that the trio are firmly in the thoughts of those in the corridors of power at Cardiff City Stadium.

You have to put it into context, its Newport County we are talking about here, I think he did a fantastic job there and ultimately took them as far as he could with the tools he had to work with, in fact he overchieved.
Thats not to say he's the man for the job but you can't say he doesn't have the experience and then say my choice would be Judy Morris for example.
On what basis would anybody want Judy Morris? He's 42 and never been a manager.

Sorry, just to clarify, not saying anyone on here is 'saying' they want Morris, just thinking out loud.

I’ve filled city since 1965 and seen some clowns come here fair play he joins that elite club so
No No No and I think a voice with a clout should tell that lot who employ these inadequate people should be told
Wilder was my choice but he ain’t coming here
Be better sticking with Steve Morison if he does well for these 3 trial games he’s been given

However with all of the applicants we have had (allegedly) and the quality of some of them (allegedly) he is no longer the best candidate.
If it comes down to cost, then I can see why he would be preferred over Wilder as an example, but he can’t be cheaper than the likes of Morris, Beale etc surely?
Therefore if he does get it then it feels like this was always the plan…but why not do it weeks ago.
