Shortly after, we went back up to Stoke for the Play-offs (1st Leg) and beat them at home...

Again, their weird 'fans; weren't happy and ended up fighting amongst themselves in the home end, as us attending Bluebirds lapped it up, wound them up further and sang a rendition of "Sit down and behave yourselves", which even their local plods said was as funny as, considering our residual reputation at that time...

The second leg in Cardiff summed up our luck over the years. Thorne missed an easy header to wrap it up followed by a last minute "offside" goal from Stoke to take it into extra time and then a deflected free kick to win it for them in dying minutes of extra time. I remember being surprised at the very poor turn out of Stoke fans considering the importance of the game-around 800 or so.
