HENDERSON GUILTY BY MAJORITY VERDICT

Thu Oct 28, 2021 10:51 am

The jury is back and Henderson has been found guilty by at least a 10-2 majority.

No idea what penalty will be for this but please god let it reflect the loss of life suffered by ES and his familt.

Report
The jury were out for a total of seven hours and 25 minutes before reaching its verdict.

Defence barrister Stephen Spence asks for sentencing to be adjourned for a pre-sentence report.

Mr Justice Foxton allows the adjournment but warns “all sentencing options are open”.

Sentencing is adjourned until Friday, November 12.

Judge Mr Justice Foxton granted Henderson bail to return to be sentenced for both offences on November 12.

He faces maximum sentences of five years imprisonment for endangering the aircraft and two years for the lesser charge.

Terrible that a young man has lost his life, but good for his family that someone has been held accountable.

Where does this now leave the club?

The lesser charge would run concurrently, so today's verdict and sentence will be the overriding one :thumbright:
