“ MORE FROM CARDIFF CHAIRMAN MEHMET DALMAN “

AFTER 11 YEARS OF TOTAL CONTROL IF CARDIFF CITY FC:

CCFC CHAIRMAN MEHMET DALMAN:

“We will be going to the Premier League for a financial bail out, with out the Championship their would be no Premiership.”

"We are under siege, financially, politically, legally, football-wise. There are lots of issues we have to come through," admitted Dalman.

“These are the worst times I have been through since I came to the club and been in football.”

But he stressed: "We will navigate through this. We didn't think the football side of things would become so bad and take up so much of our attention, much harder than we ever imagined, but we will obviously focus on that and do what is right for the club.

“I admit we have had some poor transfers in and out of our club, but their is no more money available and their won’t be any in January and possibly none next season.”

“We will be bringing through more younger players in the first team, rather than bringing new players in.”

“We will be seeing more players leaving next year.”

“We are looking for a young energetic new manager.”

Sadly over all things are worse than terrible and out young players will be drafted in to the first team squad next season if good enough or not good enough.

Sadly the first team is not successful on or off the pitch and sadly that’s a fact and Cardiff City needs stability.

Even the Chairman Dalman says these are the worst times under their time in control and don’t forget we are in the middle of our worst run in 122 years of our history.

The real worst times were on and of the pitch were the 90’s, we really had no money, these clowns with money have failed beyond belief and if they continue to run the club like a circus we will end up back in those days of the 90’s. Dalman abd Choo have to be moved out Asap

We need a full time chairman running a football club not a part time chairman . When he says that “we didn’t think the football side of things would become so bad and take up much of our attention “ he knows he’s supposed to be running a football club doesn’t he?
Relying solely on youngsters is asking for trouble and we will go down. I think we need a couple of players in January .whether that means some players leaving first (Moore) then think we’ll need to do it and get some midfielders in .

So we can say goodbye to anyone who's contract is up at the end of this season then as it doesn't look likely we will pay out to renew

We have not gone forward and we are def not run more professional, we have not learnt by our awful mistakes in the past and we keep saying we will, but the proof needs to be seen and 11 years later, we seem to be now going further backwards.

October 2009 TG got Tan on board.

Tan took total control in the Summer of 2010.

I recall most of us wanting the club to bring in the youth at the end of last season. Some told me at the Forest game, our last game where we came away with a point, that they would prefer us to bring the youth in instead of using Tomlin. Well Tomlin has gone and with all these senior players out of contract it looks like they are going to get their wish. However, are they feeling the same after 8 losses in a row.

Next season our U23 squad with be our backbone. Are they good enough is what is on everyone's mind. We will find out this season.

We all thought we were in shit street now we truly know we are . Been there before as a club many times but in those times we had little money coming into the club. This time we have had more money than ever due to our stints in the premier league but chucked it all away by paying big fees for very average players, buying players with an injury history and troublesome players.

Well let’s hope we have some real gems in the youth because what i have seen so far from those kids that have come into the first team they have been very average at best

Not a great choice of words or timing to attract a new manager.

We are in this mess because of financial mismanagement from the board I.e Dalman, Choo and Tan…nobody else

7 years of premier league money wasted!!!!

7 years of premier league money?

You can’t possibly count parachute money as premier league money.

Financial mismanagement is not paying debts and being in court for that. What we have now has been caused by pandemic and outgoings massively being higher than incomings and is not in the scale of financial mismanagement from the past.

Why can’t you count parachute money ??

By my reckoning the 5 years of parachute payments have amounted to well over £100 million.. that’s a substantial sum of money!!!

5 years of actual premier league money would be closer to £500 million. It’s incomparable

I'm beginning to realise that a spell in the lower divisions is becoming more of a probability than a possibility following this statement.
Whoever takes over the management role will have to accept building a team from our current crop of younger first team lads along with some of the promising under 23 squad. This suggests to me a spell in the basement divisions unless a miracle investor suddenly appears.
Brace yourselves for the drop; or if we are not relegated this season, a further basement battle again next season!

From what Dalman says, regardless of reasons, all the money and more has gone, it’s going to get worse and despite some unsubstantiated intentions, it appears that the trio have no positive plans to go anywhere except downwards.
Does “doing a Rangers” now seem such a bad option?

How a business with a turnover in the millions does not have a full time chairman is beyond me especially with an owner hardly ever seen around the place .
No private company in any other sector would operate like this.
As for the football side of it, seems like they are planning for League one .
Admitting players contracts will not be renewed and we will look almost entirely at the young players in u23s etc makes for a very uncertain future.
Will be interesting to see if we will sell any of the good kids if we get a decent offer.
As for the next manager, it looks like a Flynn type of appointment coming ....young and used to no money ...

Colwill is already proving to be our best player. People get excited when he gets on the ball. I'd put a midfield of Bowen, Patten and King up against Ralls, Pack and Vaulks any day...and add Colwill and Evans as wide midfielders and you have a midfield that will pass and move, beat defenders and create chances.
