I don't think we'll have a better chance than this season providing the injuries are kept at bay I've got faith in DJ :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I think Cardiff will go up this season and automatically too as there is NO strong stand out team in this division , as to the question will it be with DJ then who knows ? Hopefully come December and we maybe have a full 100% Malaysian takeover then maybe just maybe we will actually spalsh out and BUY players and NOT loans in the next window , BUT without cover and competition for Bothroyd I think it will be the play offs sorry . Iwelumo or Howard or even Steve Thompson would have been great choices !

Onwards and upwards though and a fit Koumas and a confident Keogh will make a huge difference .............. hope Drinkwater isnt another injury prone dud ?

Automatic promotion ? No. Jones has shown that with the absence of certain key players, the side goes from one that can beat anyone in the division, to one that can't win anything.

It happened in the play off final when Bothroyd went off, and again against Leicester, with Bothroyd. [True there were others missing, but with Keogh up front, the rest of the side was much the same as last year].

I think we will just edge the play offs, but for people to say that this season there are'nt any outstanding sides to play against, I have to admit i'm impressed with all the research they have done in the close season.

Will DJ get us up??

NO!!

But the players might. And yes, Jones did bring in the players - but theyre also the same players who failed so miserably last season and the season before that.

Remember, Bothroyd and Whitts amongst others are in their last year of their contracts so the more likely the club is looking for promotion, the better their bargaining hand. With Premier League football comes Premier League wages. Theyre in it for themselves.

Yes, DJ brought in Bellamy - but only because Man City are financing the deal. Not for one second do I believe he'd be here if they werent stumping up the cash.

So, Dave Jones wont get us up - but he will be manager of the team that does.

Thats nuts?

Drinkwater bellamy olifinjana keogh Koumas Bothroyd Chopra Marshall Whittingham Naylor
Burke.......

Who got those players here?

Who got the enigmatic pain in the arse Bothroyd to finally show his stuff?
Who has got a lost and wayward Chris Burke back on track?
Who saw the class in Olifinjana when nobody else even looked at him?
Who grabbed Drinkwater, was willing to take the chance on a 20yr old

Right now, he's doing a cracking job. In my opinion it was a mistake playing Gavin Rae
but one man does not make a team. Our fringe players do not get enough match practice...
that was down to the fact that last season we never had enough reserves for a reserve side!!!

DJ is doing a hell of a lot more right than he is wrong

Loan, loan, loan, loan, loan and the others, Naylor aside, were players who have failed in two seasons prior.

Whittingham had a fantastic season last year, but before that most people were questioning his attitude and his consitancy, and wondering if he merited a starting berth.

Bothroyd was pretty much in last chance saloon and, although hes an asset on the pitch, from what I gather hes still his same disruptive, tantruming self off it.

And the thing that annoys me most is people thinking DJ is thd f*cking messiah for grabbing Bellamy. The people we shoul be thanking are Garry Cook and the Man City money men because Bellamy would not be here if his wages were slashed.

Chopra loves Cardiff and the fact we love him here. He has fallen out with Jones in the past.

The one thing I will say about Jones is that he does bring thd best out of Jason Koumas.

But other than that, his list of achievements is about as thin as Ridsdales claims of taking us to an FA Cup final, etc...

So DJ will get hammered if we don't do up but won't get any credit if we do :o  I think that's harsh in the extreme, what does he have to do then

Given what Carl and Annis have said about DJ having almost total control of the transfers this season I would suggest that he will deserve more credit than most other managers if he gets us up this season as he has gone above and beyond what most clubs ask of their managers :ayatollah:

Re: WILL DJ GET US PROMOTED THIS YEAR ?

I think we will get promotion BUT I think it will depend on our league position at the end of this year. If we are up there I believe that our chairman will make funds available for a final push, if we are not there they will not IMHO.

your mad man!!!

The fact that he's got all these players here on loan is an even better achievement than
if he'd gone out and bought them. Look at Billy Davies at Forest, Strachan at Smoggyboro.
Look at Roy Keane! Warnock at QPR! These have all been given money to spend 'backed up'
by the board. Would you say any of them have a better first eleven than us?

He has been set parameters by TG, very tight financial restrictions have been put in place
because the debt has to come first. He has sat down with the feller and come up with
a plan to get quality players in and push hard for promotion. Whilst spending next to nothing!!
The rest of the division are either up in arms, or scared shitless at what he's managed to do.
We are second in the Championship, we have only lost one game albeit without FIVE of the first
choice team.

Thems the plus point like!

Against him: he's a miserable old sourpuss, he's a bit arrogant, blinkered, unnaproachable and
he picked Gavin Rae on Tuesday

Well I dont think Gav will be in the side again any time soon.

As for the rest of it? Well shucks, our manager is a moaning old tw*t

this is our year. We tasted missing out on the play-offs and the effect it had inspired us to the play-off final.

the heartache from that will inspire us to avoid the play-offs and get a top 2 position. with a fully fit team we can do that.

im keeping the faith :ayatollah:
