MY VIEW: MICK STARTED SOME OF THE YOUNG CITY PLAYERS TONIGH

Postby Forever Blue » Wed Oct 20, 2021 8:33 pm

MY VIEW / OPINION:

MICK STARTED SOME OF THE YOUNG CITY PLAYERS TONIGHT BUT DESPITE A GOOD FIRST-HALF , FULHAM'S CLASS CAME THROUGH IN THE 2ND-HALF.

Mick is finished in my opinion, but this squad has not the quality many believe, tonight we tried and gave our all, but its not good enough, we are in a big relegation battle.

THE TRUTH WE HAVE GONE SO BACKWARDS & LOW ITS JUST HEARTBREAKING

Its now 9 defeats from 10 games

CARDIFF PLAYED WELL IN THE FIRST-HALF, BUT ONCE CLASS % OUR WEAKNESS CAME THROUGH.

After 6 straight defeats, including 8 defeats from Cardiff’s last 9 games, sadly yet another defeat.

Its more than worrying times for Cardiff fans.

7 consecutive defeats and 9 defeats from last 10 games under this Regime

FIRST-HALF: Cardiff held their own and had some good chances, Fulham also created some good chances, fair first-half for both clubs so 0-0 fair :thumbright:

SECOMD-HALF: Fulham took control and outclassed Cardiff and showed why they are near the top and Cardiff are near the bottom.

CARDIFF HAVCE STILL NOT TAKEN A POINT FROM A TEAM ABOVE THE BOTTOM 7 THIS SEAON

FULHAM 2 CARDIFF CITY 0
H-T 0-0
Crowd

Cardiff City team: Smithies, Ng, McGuinness, Flint (C), Bagan,Vaulks, Bowen, Pack, Giles, Colwill, Moore

Subs: Phillips, Morrison, Brown, Patten, Evans, Harris, Collins

GOAL! Fulham 1-0 Cardiff City (Cairney 57)
Harry Wilson danced into the box and Joel Bagan tackled the Welshman, only for the ball to bobble into the path of substitute Cairney, who hit a stunning volley into the roof of the net.

GOAL! Fulham 2-0 Cardiff City (Mitrovic 61)
Mitrovic makes it two. Mistake from Bagan and Cardiff punished.

Bagan misplaces a pass to Colwill and it's intercepted. The ball is played to Mitrovic in the box and he slots home from 10 yards out.

Much improved and something to build on. No matter how well we were playing I wouldn't expect much away at Fulham. If this was against any of the teams around us I feel we would've won tonight. Created enough. Just forgot the shooting boots (again).

That being said he'll probably revert to 5 at the back on Saturday.

15 shots at goal should have had at least one goal but much improved performance and tend to agree play another side we win with that performance.
Ps mick on pitch clapping fans and shaking all play hands is this his farewell?

Disagree. They played some good stuff. Definitely one of the best footballing sides we'll play. But they also grafted at the back (as for once we seemed to be putting pressure on) and also put bodies on the line blocking plenty.
