David or ED?

Wed Sep 15, 2010 4:02 pm

The trade unions are voting on who should be the next leader of the Labour party. It looks like it's down to Ed Miliband or David Miliband.

Which one do you reckon? Or are both just more Tory plants?

Got no time for new Labour and the way they have sold out to the working class but as far as I'm concerned David is the lesser of 2 evils.

Didn't the phrase "loony left" come from The Sun newspaper when it was pampering to the whims of Thatcher? If my memory serves me right when anyone claimed that she was going to destroy British industry and make us second class to places like Hong Kong, they were branded as scaremongering "loony left".

Come on David! :ayatollah: iv been saying for the last 3 year David should have replaced Blair. I really do think that if he gets PM, we are going to see something different. Blair had a good first term and then went downhill, but I thing David Miliband will be the real deal. :D

I know that the GMB are urging their members to vote for Ed, yet the media seem to be edging towards David. I don't know much about either but I suspect they are both as far from the Labour party as Tory Blair was.
Like someone said above, get Kinnock back. I fear that when he failed to get in, that was the end of the Labour party and the start of the Tory second party.

Actually Ed Milliband is about as left as it gets in the current parliamentary Labour party. The only problem with that is whether enough of the "floating" voters would vote for him :?: No point in having a leader that can't get the party into power.

So that's why the Unions want Ed and the right wing media want David then.

I voted for Ed. Diane Abbott is closer to my political views, but she would be torn to shreds by murdochs media empire and have no chance in an election. Sorry state of affairs all round.
