Who do you want in charge?

Sun Oct 17, 2021 2:18 pm

90% of the time people just say a young manager who plays football. So who is that?

I’d want wilder in but doubt we’d be that ambitious.

I’d give Morrison a few games from the academy right now personally can’t see the board wanting to spend mega or give a long contract right now

If he can get us going or picking up points then leave him until season end and take stock and go from there, I’d have sacked McCarthy 4 games ago though and tried this

I’d have anyone at the minute. Mick has served up the least enjoyable spell of my time supporting Cardiff. But in an ideal world I would like Wilder. There’s not really anybody who stands out other than him, who’s currently out of work.

Gareth Ainsworth - doing a great job at Wycombe

Yes put Morrison in as caretaker boss, see who’s interested and make your choice.

No one from our league as they would want money which our club has none off. It will have to be League 1 manager or someone who is an inexperienced manager.

Wilder or Pulis . They are not yes men.

Whoever it is just give him a bit of time before slamming him with the same old tripe.

Time is a big ask though. Couple of games away from the sack this game is.

I dont think we could be any worse off whoever came in so id give it to Morrison until we identified a decent replacement instead of the club just shitting their pants and getting the first available person in. I wouldnt be surprised if they brought pulis in which would be typical by the club. One long ball specialist to another.....

Wilder is available but doubt he would come here/probably can't afford him. Ainsworth could be a good fit with our squad but we probably can't afford to sack mick and pay Wycombe compo. The situation is pretty bleak at the moment.

Mike Flynn fits the only two criteria City require in a new manager.

Cheap and available.

No; heard a few things that doesn’t sit well

Morrison for me; on a temporary badis

Think Morrison is a good call, certainly got the youngsters playing attractive football, whether or not he can do anything with the current crop of players is a concern and would be for anyone else coming in, I don’t think things could get any worse than they are atm and relegation is a real possibility. Maybe get someone like Rob Earnshaw in to work alongside him, I’m sure he would jump at the chance to manage the club he loves and he certainly knows how to play an attacking game, may take a couple of seasons to work but worth it in the long run, look at what Brentford have managed to do.

Any manager who would want to come and serve under Tan must need their head tested.

Therein lies the problem. My club has been turned into a pariah club. No quality, no depth, no cover, no speed, no wingers, useless kids, awful style of play, cannot do the basics like control a ball, an owner who cares nothing and spends nothing and likes to be manager, a dictatorship that vets every statement that comes out of the club.

Sad thing is we are playing out our circus and our lack of any ounce of ability to the global watching public live on tv.

And that's managers fault he picks team he let certain players go . Ig you were married would you want your wife spending thousands of pounds on toilet paper no questions asked? Because basically that's what your asking tan to do regarding players buy what you like no question asked .... he owns club which means he as ultimate say in what comes out from it like it or not same for any buisness....
But having said that cannot see tan having brain storm and bringing in a progressive manager that will turn our fortunes around so he needs to go for us to progress

Karl Robinson - Oxford Manager, he built a great footballing team with the Dons, and then got Oxford playing some lovely stuff, knows lower leagues well, and used to working on a budget, even if it means mid table for a few years, he can atleast lay the foundations of a passing side.

I'd want a top quality manager.

But that's not going to happen, it will probably be Flynn.
