... At people immediately blaming certain players/tactics/the manager for last
nights defeat.
Can we not for once ALL just hold our hands up and say that we were FIVE major players
short last night and it was always going to be a tall order.
There were one or two last night who just aren't good enough (or fit enough)... but FFS
we're not Man Utd or Chelsea, we do not have Internationals warming up the bench!!!

Totally agree, it was only saturday when everyone was saying how the squad is looking stronger.
It was one of those nights, its not our first and wont be our last, all clubs will have them.

Totally disagree, our academy team would have put in a better performance. The guys totally switched off last night in the second half. That is what is upsetting people.

I agree.
It's the fact that we were outplayed and showed little appetite for the fight that is so disappointing.
All we have ever asked is that the team give 100% commitment. We know that we will lose games but it's the manner of the defeat that is also quite important.
The real commitment last night was in the stands rather than on the pitch and that's frustrating.

we went through a stage think it was last season. where our 2nd half performances were always below par compared to our first half performances.
that was the story last night for whatever reason. and to be worse that the first half is going some
but hey we arnt chelsea we gotta lose sometimes

thats a point i made just now to someone.
people are saying injuries etc i agree we missed them hugely, and with oli and jay we would have probably won.
but 8 players we had playing last night were 1st team regulars last year.
naylor, keogh, koumas the 3 being the others.

Perhaps some of you should now reflect on your comments after the "boring" victory over Hull last Saturday

Elaborate Claude.

But surely the whole point is that there were 'senior players' out there last night who
are just not up to the task. Either in terms of skill OR commitment. Players who will
not step up to the plate and rely on others to dig deep (players who were not on show
last night)
We know who these players are by now, we also know they would NOT be playing except
in an emergency (ie injury crisis)
So whats the point slating the team?? Or the manager??
There were no surprises last night.

Quite a few commented that Saturday's game was "boring."
I simply retorted that a win is a win and,at the end of the day that's all that matters.
I'd have taken another "boring" victory last night!!!

ray was in the team...
it was doomed from the start..

I also agree with you Baked. The players who came in are all handsomely paid therefore the dead minimum expected is 100% effort.

I love posts like this where the poster tells everyone else to stop using blame then goes on to put blame for the defeat on some players having a lack of fittness! TA usually your posts are very good but this is a stinker.

What I meant was... lets just take it on the chin for a change!
Even if we had ALL our stars playing we could still have lost.
Shit happens
Certainly last night was always on the cards
