Marvellous? Backing his manager in the transfer window would have been a better gesture….

He is part of the board/committee. He is employed by Tan to help with the decisions. I’d like to think that Tan values his opinion, it seems as if none of the board/committee were able to say “this is a relegation squad in paper, we need to strengthen”

The fans have all said it, now McCarthy has said it. Until Choo comes out and says that he disagrees with Tan then unfortunately he will be just another yes man in the eyes of many.

You're absolutely right that his role is to help Tan with his decisions, but that doesn't mean that he agrees or disagrees with him. Tan is funding the club and his board is there to advise him, but this is where they fall down. If the team does not have a balance of skills that can both entertain the fans and get results then there is a major danger that both gates and income will fall.
An ordinary bookkeeper can tell you whether a projection balances, but a board member of a football team needs to understand whether a squad is adequate or needs strengthening in any area, and that is where our board have failed.

He doesn’t make the decisions you are absolutely correct. Tan pays him a very good wage however to advise him. If he or Dalman haven’t said to Tan that we are in huge danger of dropping down the leagues then they aren’t doing their jobs correctly. If they have said that and Tan disagrees with Choo and/or Dalman then are they just happy to be there and take money out of our club? If that’s the case, that’s just as bad.

20 years ago he'd have been through that windscreen, how times have changed and fickle fans are, he along with the board are ruining the team, club and our identity but these days he's praised for coming on a bus and saying thank you, unbelievable! :banghead:

Ken goes to most home games doesnt have to but he does... a friendly and approachable person always got time to chat.

A farewell message? Tan would not have liked that gesture by Choo. I mean, giving the fans some hope to cling onto?

Clearly knew you were on board Annis.

Would have been Sam back in the day that.

The question is whether Tan is taking the individual decisions, which is unlikely or has he said that they have to work within a specific budget. Then, when you look at who we brought in and who left you see a void in creativity but another centre back coming in, so something is going wrong.

Ken Choo can’t sack McCarthy.

Ken merely fires the bullet loaded into the chamber by that one man. Selling us as a L1 club loses a lot more money and the club is not set up to be L1 anymore. Its a big ground for 12K

Well his boss will be owning a league 1 team next season with 10k crowds

Paul, the lack of understanding by some, albeit disappointed right now, is surreal

But apparently I got to be careful what I say for fear of upsetting a sprinkling of snowflakes who don't like taking it back after they dish it out  :laughing6:

I understand the frustration and I’m the same. Never wanted this manager and don’t want him now but there’s some really stupid posts on here lately.

Papers reported that the Leicester team that beat Multi million pounds 4-2 cost only 22million where as our team who were humiliated by the Jacks cost about £20million that’s without our worst buy Murphy who’s lost us another £11m!
The only one who we can get any money for is Moore so money has been spent but it’s been completely wasted by our Managers particular Warnock! So I completely understand why Tan doesn’t want to put more money in our club! MM and Dalman have to be sacked and we start again but just spending money is not the answer!b
