A forum for all things Cardiff City

I keep referring back to it. I've not said this until now but but as I drove out of the car park, that cost me £15 which made matters worse, I said to myself we are going down.
It's all hitting home now because I thought that night we just don't have a good enough squad to stay in the Championship. Comparing to what we had last season to now is frightening. I just feel right now we have screwed it up and changing manager will not make any difference. If we survive this season it will be a great achievement.

No idea where we are going to pick up points from but we need to stay out of the bottom 3 and bring a few players in january, if we stand any chance of staying up this season.

I don’t see another Warnock out there at the moment so agree that staying up is the priority and then building over a few seasons.
This is now the worst squad at city for many seasons , lacking in so many areas.
I’m hoping that there are 3 worst teams than us but not totally confident despite Derby losing 12 points .

Fair points in the OP and hard to disagree with.
I would say points deductions could save us, with nine more potentially for Derby and nine potentially for Reading.
But if they happened tomorrow, Reading would only be four points behind us. Derby would be 18 points behind us which sounds like a lot, but they're actually playing alright and have a better team than us so they could possibly make that up by the end of the season.

Derby will struggle very soon. A wafer thin squad relying on their youth just like us. it going to be a bridge to far for them to survive. Reading not much better off so I'm expecting the to fall. If what I'm hearing and that being 2 other teams could be going the same way then that will give us leeway to survive. My fear is if all this advantage comes in for us I still don't think we will survive.

Yeah the Cov game was up there with the worst I’ve seen in play home or away ever(I was also at Deepdale for the 6-0 drubbing)…..
No movement, no passion. Didn’t go down yesterday but listened/watched as always (paid money for the “Privilege”)
If the manager who’s getting paid X amount a week can’t get excited or even acknowledge the fans then why should we bother? Can’t see anything but league one for us next season. It’s worked well for some clubs, can’t see it going well for us.

Yeah I was there for that Preston game as well. I just felt after the Coventry game our time had finally come for the drop under this ownership.

Do you think Fulham fans will be saying the same after their drubbing at Coventry on Friday. I was there as well and yes we were awful, but Coventry are turning out to be the surprise package this season.

Paul, their results are certainly confirming they could 'do a Cardiff' and be the surprise package this season, as we were under Neil ap Warnock
Will Mick stay? My feeling is yes (at least until Xmas) but I feel sure it has been/is being reviewed, if the reports that Mike Flynn has at least been spoken to are correct
Hopefully, the international break will calm things down within the corridors of the CCS and ahead of our next two games against Neil ap Warnock's Middlesbrough (wait for the pre-match platitudes

) and the NFL team from down the M4 West
But as we know, a period of rest for the players can often stir up the mischief-makers on this (and other) Forums

I could reply to that by saying Luton stuffed Coventry 4-0 with their fans signing to them "Are you Cardiff in disguise".

Oddly the bookies reckon we are staying up. we are 12-1 to be relegated. Think those odds are based on the fact that Reading will get a big points deduction as they are 7-2 to be relegated despite being well ahead of us. Surely we can finish ahead of one other team even under McCasrthy.
