What a difference how stoke are yaking the game to w.b.a should make mc carthy watch how its done.

Yes stoke showing how to play mc carthy should watch how its done and all played on the ground

Stoke are 1-0 up against West Brom with about five minutes to go, a great finish by Nick Powell.

They have dominated and deserve to be ahead. Sam Surridge had his penalty saved by Sam Johnstone earlier in the second half and a comical own goal by Darnell Furlong of West Brom in the first half was harshly disallowed.


West Brom went into this game being one of only two teams in the Championship that are still unbeaten, the other being Bournemouth.

Stoke have looked a decent side

Very good side Stoke. They will up there this season.

Its my next game and got to say unless we improved dramatically we will be in for a hard time.

Stoke beat wba 1 0...says it all..a good manager knows how to set up a team and take the game to a team who are potentially top 2 this season unlike dinosaur Mick who plays 5 centre backs and hoping to stop the other team which was an idiotic decision... tomorrow is a pivotal game in my opinion

Only started watching second half amazing stuff by Coventry in the rain,taking Fulham apart playing football on the ground.

Stoke played well tonight and well worth their win .

I think the point is, you play it on the ground against teams that play it on the ground.

Hoofball rarely works against passing teams who also have height and tenacity in their game.

Monty, I'm at the CCS, so missed the game

Sounds one-sided and Coventry have one heck of a player in Gabor Gyökeres. I think he'll see them through to the Play-offs (or better)

No surprise this. Its how they played against us and just perhaps we can take a bit of credit for only keeping it at 1-0.

I certainly don't.

I'm at the game also. Its very quiet with 20 minutes to go.

No but the inference is we lost because we played hoofball against them? You can't just say fulham had off day to hide fact they lost 4-1 fact is we are playing badly but our last two games have been mainly down to micks tactics something cant argue against. ..

I do think that we have a team that could play it on the ground with the younger ones added to the mix we are not obviously in the top 5 teams who all play football but we just have to make the change in style this cannot go on how many teams these days play hoof ball constantly anyway don' t want to spoil your day enjoy

I think the point is, you play it on the ground against teams that play it on the ground.

Hoofball rarely works against passing teams who also have height and tenacity in their game.

Our game is normally play high up field but mick seems to have lost plot and thinks 8 man defence is way to win games ..... I said at beginning of season mick is to defensive and he will cost us top 6 but looks like he could cost us a championship place unless removed soon. Football is about different styles it's how team executes theirs that determined how well team does... Coventry executed their game plan to perfection to negate Fulhams tipppy tappy style football
