Managerial Merry Go Round

Thu Sep 30, 2021 6:34 pm

When MM gets sacked, nicely paid off, holidays a while, pops up on Sky Sports will he even care/ did he ever?

It's a well paid job. End of. No allegiance.

Mid 60's an unexpected last hurrah. Kerchhhing.

Next please...

Pulis, Allardice etc.

Handsomely rewarded for some success BUT mainly failure.

Nice work if you can get it.

Not sure how you can say Big Sam gets rewarded for failure when he's only ever been relegated as a manager once - and that was a few months ago.

At least do some research.

But agree with your other points.

He’s Entitled to his opinion, yet another snide little comment, sad, thought this was a forum.

Agreed, Big Sam is a top manager. Pity he never got a job at a big club 10-15 years ago so we could see what he could really do

He did get arguably the biggest job with England but he cocked it up with corruption!

That's categorically untrue.

He was accused of corruption by the Telegraph and the FA then sacked him in what was a knee-jerk reaction.

Later, he was cleared of any corruption. He received additional compensation from both the Telegraph and the FA for the ordeal.

Someone from the FA was at a House of Commons Select Committee and confirmed that all that Allardyce did was give a factual description of the laws in English football on that subject.

The only people who say he was proven to be corrupt are those with low intelligence and unwilling to know the facts.

These people instantly decided he was proven to be corrupt, but the fact is he didn't say or encourage anything illegal/against UK football rules in the video that the Telegraph secretly recorded.

Sven

Try and keep your own personal feelings of other posters out of a forum.

The point I was trying to make was regardless of any success, someone like Sam, Pulis will always get another well paid role.

Not a criticism but a fact.
