OPINIONS PLEASE
Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:40 am
it was a really bad decision, one i think we are going to regret
Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:41 am
its a target man we are crying out for
Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:45 am
time will tell if Keogh is better than Mc Cormack coz it looks like a straight case of 1 out to bring 1 in
Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:46 am
it says it all when wolves ship out keogh & bring in Marcus bent to replace him
That tells me Keogh is not up to it
Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:46 am
No we were very wrong to sell him and it will come back and haunt us this season.
DJ saying that Koumas was out of puff and had to be taken off. When is he going to be fit FFS. He also has said that he has found out from Man Utd that Drinkwater had a persistent thigh problem last year and if he had known this he might have made different decisions.
He is also saying that the players are tired, I know he likes his excuses but if they are tired at the start of the season it doesn't bode well.

Martyn,
I am Not a fan of Keogh as his scoring record is not good, but he does give 100%.
Ross can score, but DJ didnt get on with him.

Barnsley 5 - 2 Leeds , maybe not ? I think the transfer fee had a lot to do with internal politics from the Riddler regime tho .

indeed how long do we wait for Koumas to get fit. The fear is he is only a shadow of himself.
So DJ has assembled a team of unfit players. Worrying.

there is always a reason for players going out on loan

Exactly and how do you stop fringe players who dont play often from becoming unfit ? Ive e-mailed TG about this but surprize surprize no reply !

I think Ross had to go. His head was all over the palce and he was a shadow of the player he was. It's easy to blame DJ, but Ross didn't look after hmself either - I keep pointing to the way Darcy Blake responded, why didn't Ross do that?
Koumas is brushing up on match fitness, it takes time, especially when you;ve done nothing for 8 months. Injuries have forced our hand a little, but he'll come good, as will McPhail. We do need back up for Jay, but we're either going to have to pay for that or settle for poor backup as few decent players really want to come and sit on the bench waiting for Jay to get injured. I think we need to give Keogh time as well, as the system we've played in his two starts does nothing for him so it's unfair to judge on that.
A reserve team would benefit us greatly, with everyone back we have a decent sized squad brimming with quality. I think we have to be realistic here and take the fact that we've won 4 from 6, rather than we lost last night.

I agree, Ross leaving was down to his attitude and "issues", the same with Gerrard. Yes, they both argued with DJ but maybe DJ was absoultely right, neither of them are exactly examples of leaness and seeing as the vast majority of the players are then they both have to take responsibility for the repurcussions. The fact that they were both viewed as disruptive to the dressing room as well wouldn't have helped
McCormack may well turn out to be a great player for Leeds, in some ways I hope he does. But it was clear that he wasn't going to become a great player for us anytime soon and therefore the move was best for him and both clubs.
Wed Sep 15, 2010 8:36 am
If you believe the accounts of him drinking and being a bad influence in the dressing room then yes.

yes i think we was right who would have thought our four best players would be out at one time and with at least one of them last nights result probably would have been different.so lets not panic and mcormack only had one good year the other two hes been not so good his goal record proove's this.with bellamy and bothroyd and oli hopefully back sat youll see a very different city to last night and well come away with 3 points!!
KEEP THE FAITH

Something to bare in mind is that Ross was very unhappy here and wanted to move. Keogh wants to play and is giving his all. There is alot to be said for moving an unhappy player out and bringing in a happy one nomatter what the fee

I was always against it.
Wed Sep 15, 2010 11:24 am
Yea correct, he wouldn't have played last night anyway, he might have come on as sub but we cant keep a player like
Rossco on big wages just to use when we have all these players out.
People keep going on about the fee but don't you think it's funny how he has gone ever so cheap in some peoples opinion yet the best club he could get was Leeds?
Wed Sep 15, 2010 11:38 am
Yes I think so, all the stories about Ross being out on the piss all the time, you only have to see him to know he's doing something wrong! His arse has gone huge & he was out of breath after 20 minutes on pitch, Ross needs to sort himself out, professional players cant be pissheads, look at Gerrard as an example of that!
Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:26 pm
Absolutely he was right to sell him.
We still have money issues, and have an embarrassment of riches up front.
Just a shame that 3 of our 4 forwards are injured at the same time.
Even a fit Ross wouldn't have made a difference last night, not sure that Chops would have either to be honest.

I agree, it annoys me when people say they were forced out because they fell out with DJ. I'm not being funny but DJ should be falling out with them if they are on the piss all the time and both clearly over weight.

We were right to sell him, but not for 300k. Btw our target man is Jay, wtf are you guys talking about? How is Ross target man? hes not THAT fast, hes not THAT strong

who has said ross was a target man

In an ideal world we'd have kept him but he wanted out. He's hardly lighting it up at Leeds either.
Once Bellars is back fit no one's gonna spare a thought for Ross.
