Cardiff’s formation

Does the formation make that much difference if the style of play remains the same?,been looking at certain threads about what is Cardiff’s best team,but if micks style of play is route one from an attacking point of view,is there much difference in setting up different formations?

It worked last year for a number of reasons.

Bennett left wing back supported the front men and offered width.
Ditto for Ng on the right.
New manager bounce.
Pace in support of Moore.
Really effective high press up top.
Increased confidence among our players with delicate confidence (Murphy, Ojo etc).
Solid spine (Morrison/Flint/Pack/Moore).

Sadly a lot of that is now non existent.
