“ Absolutely Shocking “

Shocking defending by Cardiff today in the first half v Blackburn Rovers

And it’s not the first time.

Plus way way to many inexperienced players on the bench to change the game.

Our only points gained this season have been against clubs in the bottom 7 of the league as things stood, meaning whenever we've played anyone outside the bottom 7 we've lost and today it’s happened again

And once again we fail, I am very worried.

Five defeats from our last six games and MICK keeps saying we have

BLACKBURN 5 CARDIFF CITY 1

The CCFC Committee want to fill the squad with Accademy players if good or not or players on free transfers , we will end up only one place towards the bottom of the Championship

That’s 5 defeats in 6

Many have stated we won't be relegated. I'm not so sure .

Hardly likely given points deduction
on way to couple clubs but safe to say top 6 out question ..

Shocking I agree but don't see the point in MM being sacked as he will get enough points to stay up (in my opinion)

A bit worrying when we are relying on that.

I've defended Mick until today as I think some City fans have unreasonable expectations. No excuse for today. Pathetic and should be ashamed of his team. Worst performance since QPR under Harris. We are now in free fall and can only see the end of McCarthy's tenure coming soon. WBA will smash City on Tuesday. We are in the same downward spiral as under Harris conceding first in every game. Sack him tonight? Maybe. But my deeper concern is that whoever takes over will only be very cheap and will inherit a slow, disjointed squad. We really could be staring at relegation this season. I get why the club need to cut their cloth but we are a mess.

Shocking. Terrible.
The senior players may well be thinking that they’ll be gone next year and it’s starting to show.
Absolutely no pave in the side which means no threat to the defenders who can push up at will.
I said while we were watching it ‘How many of our team can beat a man 1 v 1? The answer is one - Giles. So disappointed
Not sure whether sacking Mick is the answer though as any new man would want some cash and that’s not gonna happen.
I’m usually a positive poster at all times but this is dire.

Tbh not relying on that just saying there are clubs in worse position ... but need change manager soon before it becomes a relegation struggle ..... despite the result today between the goals we did ok but the tactics employed are killing any creativity we possess so putting us under pressure to score from dead ball situations which is not sustainable for a season....

Was Moore playing today ? Yes I watched the game but can't remember him doing anything.

I've defended big mick but this 3 at the back isn't working ,need to go 442 also got to play Giles every match ,I fear for us Tuesday but knowing us we will go and beat them to paper of the cracks

Not a prayer of getting a result on Tuesday. Guaranteed defeat, you could bet your mortgage on it. The only bet is how long before we concede. I don't think we'll last 15 minutes. Mick wont pull this around now, today's defeat was seismic. Gone by the Swansea game is my prediction. I've backed him until today.

Whether he’s had covid or his lack of training he has been rubbish all season so far. I don’t know whether that’s because we’ve become so one dimensional that it’s easier for teams to mark him out of the games. But even when he does have the ball his decision making has been poor and his lay offs/flick ons have not been good enough.

Having just watched the highlights on sky sports, most goals were avoidable. But the worst for me was watching Perry Ng just nonchalantly tracking his runner for the second goal and then didn’t decide to try and gain more ground until he saw the ball coming over. I was absolutely fuming seeing that.

Just watched the goals on Sky Sports and have to say our 3 Centre Backs were terrible and for me it's time to bench Morrison and Nelson, Ng also looked disinterested in doing his job not even bothering to track a player back for that 3rd goal. All 3 first half goals were preventable with just a little desire to defend sadly there was little on display today. You could add Phillips to the list of rubbish performances today wtf was he doing for that 2nd goal.

Surely it's time to give the other 2 young CB their chance they could hardly do worse, also for me it's Smithies time as with Phillips there are to many negatives (his kicking is total pants). Tom Sang needs to be given a run of games at RB.

Not enough leaders on that pitch today and for me it took another 2 youngster (Giles and Harris) to play with intensity and passion.

Big changes needed on Tuesday but MM will no doubt carry one churning out the same old same old bollocks.

The only positive of MM being in charge was not being given any money to spend. We have paid the price for allowing Warnock to spend and have suffered as a result with the squads other managers have inherited since then.

We need a complete DNA change - it may take time but I for one would be patient if I could see the end result.

The issue is who do we get to replace MM - could someone like Lampard do a job as would have a lot of contacts for loans etc ?

We have to address these issues now rather than a mont or two down the line

That’s 5 defeats in 6

And 4 defeats in a row

But puppet MICK will still say he is happy

That is what we are doing with the fringe players. ATM it does not look like it is going to workout.

It’s not a complete DNA change - maybe with the players but not the management style. The concept with the youngsters is good however you need experience around them but it is getting the fine balance, the right attitudes from the senior players and also the best manager to oversee the change.

I have seen it in football where I have worked - being a manager is a results based industry and with a short shelf life will look for the own gain not the long term of the club - Neil Warnock being a prime example of this

As someone said elsewhere, If following the City was all about the football then I would have sacked it years ago. Just nice to be back in a stadium and away days with mates. :bluebird: :ayatollah:

I think the kids being played is partially a cost cutting exercise, I’m all for the kids to come through and think it’s great we are finally giving the kids a go but that many all at once is asking for trouble. Bagan for example is now seen as our no1 lb/lwb lot of pressure on him. Youngsters should be coming into a team learning from the regulars not chucked into the deep end . I can’t see them learning much from the current way we play.

I don’t think we’ll go down due to a couple of teams with points deduction but the board need someone with some football knowledge so we don’t get another manager in same mood as Harris/MM otherwise in couple of years we’ll be in exact same situation

Welcome to the new order in football? Cost cutting is the name of the game throughout EFL and not limited to city
