For professional footballers to not be able to pass to their own team mates on such a regular occasion is shocking. All over the pitch we were the same. Morrison gets caught out on the half way line so many times, and is like the Titanic turning and must have lead in his boots when he is chasing a player towards our goal. Very disappointing performance tonight.

Genuinly tired of constant route one football, stripping the squad back and not replacing etc.

Ok bring the youngsters through, but I'm concerned about the systems they are being train to play in.

Our shape isn't working, we don't have wing backs thus offer nothing on the wing and we don't have any creativity or threat through the middle either. Best we can ever hope for is a head or foot in the right place off a cross.

Won't be paying another tenner to watch that tripe for a while I know that much.

My View: Hard to be positive after that.
I guess you could say that we were slightly better 2nd half (difficult not to be!).
At least M MC M changed it half time. Flint Ng and the goalie played quite well!
Wecould have nicked a point (had Collins taken an easy chance).
BUT
the game was very poor, and as a team the City were DIRE.
We should have lost by more than 1-0.
Their goalie had no saves to make.

Solutions …. No easy ones
We had no width. The one time we got down the wing we should have scored from the cross. It is obvious that we lack pace- for that reason alone we musf play Giles.
Midfield was /is awful. I know people have ‘go’ at Bacuna - but at least he tries to go forward from midfield. I would try a midfield without Pack in the team. He slows things down to a snail pace and passes sideways too much.
Cant fathom out why we put Wintle (24 and athletic apparently) out on loan and kept Pack??? Lets at least try to get service to Moore!!
I am glad some academy youngster are being given a chance, but that will take time, and needs to be gradual. As yet none seem ready made starters. Are there any with pace??

We will not get promoted, and (I dont think) we will get relegated.
…..We have limited players and a very limited budget. Its important that MM makes the most of what he has. He didn’t tonight. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Cov dealt effectively with our aerial threat and basically snuffed out our singular tactic of route one/set pieces and whilst I didn't watch the game, our set pieces were seemingly limited too but I'll stand corrected on that.

I still think and hope we can mix it up in terms of our style of direct and on the floor, we've seen it happen albeit it so far sparsely, but I've been concerned about general link up play, width, pace & midfield creativity early on since Barnsley and Millwall. This can be addressed but it involves getting in two players and I rue Tomlin going missing, as he would be key creative playmaker for us but I'm not holding my breath for him.

I thought tonight we may struggle against a hungry ball playing side and they sussed us and snuffed out our now obvious direct singular tactic of a basically direct game plan - we must mix it up and quickly address the clear issues.

We still have a resilient side with potential that doesn't give up and seem to play well for 20 minutes and nick goals, I just hope we can build upon that. We go again.

It's just the abject performance that's caused the backlash? Yes we have limitations so do lot of teams this season due to lack spending..... but tonights performance was on a different level at no time in game did we look like getting a foothold in game even the chance for Collins came from a random cross from wing..... next 6 games will determine where we go rest season as potentially all games we could lose ? Saturday is another game and wont be the same as tonight they never are. Bonus from tonight is we moved up one place so not all bad? :D

I would have sworn that Slade was still our manager after watching that last night
