Ned usually if theres a doubt the country can assess him as not to be conned by club abo his fitness? That certainly was not mentioned when he dropped out we look as if we took their word wasn't fit... very suspicious though fit before and after but not for us...

That's a straightforward thing to do when they player is playing for a club in England, but probably not worth the hassle to fly to Turin to assess him.

If done remotely, it wouldn't be a proper assessment anyway.
