McCarthy comments on Murphy. Very daft.

If he rips it up at Preston we might re-sign him.

Surely has to be amongst the stupidest things ever said?

I think if Mick drove through Cardiff throwing £50 notes out of his window there would still be some who criticise him.

You know me better than that. I’m not one to criticise.

I just feel it’s a really daft comment to make.

What will change that makes giving him a new contract a good idea? As if Murphy would want to stay.

Just no logic or thought.

I'm inclined to agree. He is after all being kept out by a 20yr old who is more effective and works harder. I think he is also too soft for Mick.

People criticise the Cornelius transfer but this one was worse

£11 million plus another couple of million in wages for a very ineffective and poor player

Totally. I would like them both to play either side of the front man

Not even close.

10 million Acorn plus 40k a week.

At least we got some product back from Murphy. Goals, assists, time on the pitch.

Really? I thought acorn was 8m ? And we only paid his wage for a short period! Murphy has what 14/15 goals in three years, and cost 11m + 3m+ in wages!! Hardly a great return, glatzel scored as many, in far less time, at half the cost at 5.5m yet people said he was dogshite, so in my eyes murphy deserves to be villified for his lack of contribution to the team, one half a season was all we got out of him!!
