Mick McCarthy is hoping and expecting these three games max will get Isaac Vassell & Lee Tomlin back to full fitness ready for the first team by Saturday 2nd October at home to Reading

Its hoping Vassell could even be fully fit by Sat 25th September away to Blackburn

Tomlin has missed the last three weeks again this time apparently a cold.

Vassell suffered a new injury, but is now ok







These games are expected to get Tomlin & Vassell back fully fit

If I had it, I would bet good money on neither Tomlin or Vassell being involved in the first team match until the end of October at least.

Vassell, to be fair, has had serious injury problems for a while. That was the case before we signed him and was a very risky signing for that reason, not sure the potential reward was worth the risk. I believe he is as frustrated as anyone that he can't keep his fitness.


The same can't be said about Tomlin unfortunately. He'll probably miraculously recover in the second half of the season so he can try and get a new contract with us or someone else.

Both deadwood so f**k them off been saying it for along time but then again who's going to pay them what there on with us and why they won't go without a £££ fight from us and as we all know we have nothing spare at the minute. Who makes these decisions buying these types of injury prone career player's. That's what baffles me and what's worse we have give some new contracts in the past then say we cost cutting a few months later

Simple answer they were Neil Warnock signings. Tomlin I believe was on the books of the football agency where James Warnock (NW son) worked
