What were the visa problems with Welsh players?

I may have missed it but i haven't heard what the problems were. Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm sure Page said in an earlier interview that they had to apply for visas an unusually large period in advance, something silly like 4 weeks.

However that would explain the late additions. But I'm sure Roberts and Ampadu also had issues and they would have been certainties in the squad?!

They really made this fixture hard for us. We did well.

I'm sure it was said that they had to hand over their passports for a period when they may have been needed as we were at a critical point in the transfer window. It could have been avoided if Fifa hadn't been such twats in where they re-located the match or asked Russia to amend their restrictions as many countries do to accommodate different Covid rules. This wouldn't have happened to one of the so-called bigger nations!

They appealed and were told tough shit.

Just about sums up FIFA and the media in the UK. Had it been England it would have been all over the news and FIFA would have backed them up.
