Its looking unfortunatly right what they said about mick
dros football way to defensive and a lack of funds no budget
I wish it was' nt so but playing 5 at the back at home says it all
and the constant mantra of he is happy with the squad and quality
and then turns it on its head and says we "lack" quality .

Probably are as lots of us think hes to defensive minded and we are losing or drawing games we could should win because doesn't want to lose... but having said that what happened to Ipswich when they sacked him? And it had nothing to do with the players he sighned with no money...

Its all to do with VT losing interest and minimising his losses.
Keep us in the championship on a shoe string is all the ambition we have at board level.

Ipswich fans......most of what i read from there were that he had done a decent job under difficult circumstances...

In fairness to the club at least at the start of this season they haven't trotted out the usual "we're expecting to be in the play offs" guff that they usually come out with at the start of every season.
In fact, their silence at the start of this season is deafening.
Perhaps they realise themselves that to try to persuade the supporters that there is any ambition other than to stay in the division would be worthless or perhaps they're secretly hoping that Mick can "do a Warnock" and somehow manage to turn an average Championship team into a team that gets promoted.
Who knows?
Because apart from being told that massive cuts are having to be made we don't really know what the future plans are for the club. The often quoted aim is to "become self sustainable" - but what happens then?
Who knows?

Thats a dangerous game that eventually fails no matter what league team is in and every season teams get relegated on this philosophy does tan really want that? May have lost interest but does he want to risk relegation doubt it..... besides every club is cutting costs in one way or other except 3 relegated clubs so it's hard to say what tan wants as even selling the club he's being fussy who sells to hence rejected 2 possible takeoves.

We played nice football until their goal and then fell apart, aside from the 5 minute period after where we equalised

Agreed...and if Giles had scored / King didn’t clear off line then who knows...fine margins
Lots of people saying , once teamsheet was out, how happy they were with the selection and formation ....lost first game of season ...disappointing but let’s see the next 10 games and where we are.

Its all about the result i get that
but its lack of up and at them especially at home
Perhaps a few more displays like yesterday and mick might hear a few things from the fans but as i have said previously i don' t think it would bother him if there where fans there or not
or he gives that impression .

Ipswich fans use to boo Mick McCarthy and sing some right bad songs about how bad his football was.

Warnock, Harris, now MM...why can't the fans actually back our managers?
MM has done a good job so far

They backed Warnock but turned quite quickly.
I mean, we lost 4-2 to the Worzels and fans wanted Malky gone.
There’s a post about our fans being fickle somewhere.

Our fans are brilliant, among the best, when things are going well. We need to be the best in harder times too.
