Wolves set to complete striker transfer in major boost for Bruno Lage
By Akex Dicken
Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a breakthrough in negotiations for South Korean forward Hwang Hee-chan
South Korea international Hwang has been on Wolves' radar for two years and was targeted by the club in the January transfer window of 2020.
A transfer failed to materialise then but with just four days remaining of the current window, Wolves have struck a deal with RB Leipzig to sign the forward.
Hwang is poised to join on a season-long loan but Wolves will have the option to make it permanent next summer.
He's failed to hit the heights in Germany though and hasn't registered a goal in 20 Bundesliga outings, although 17 of those have been substitute appearances.
Hwang did net three times for Leipzig en route to the 2021 German Cup Final which they lost 4-1 to Borussia Dortmund.
The 25-year-old is capable of playing wide in attack or as a centre-forward and will give Lage another useful striking option once his medical is completed and the final paperwork is signed over the weekend.

Yeah, brilliant start to the season for them.
0 points, 0 goals scored from three league games.

Decent signing for Wolves.
Doesn't really concern us, because Wolves haven't even spoken to Cardiff City about Kieffer Moore.
Wolves will probably want to sign another striker, but that won't be Moore either.
