He second name was something Lee. Don't know loads of details. My friend was saying he's expected to break into England youth level, but could be him just bigging his mates brother up.

Jack had an excellent trial with us and scored in a pre season u23 game.

He's very quick and skillful.

Schoolboy at Southampton and then youth terms at Brighton.

He was well sought after.

Despite my misgivings about Mick and our style of play... The fact that there is now a pathway for the U18s and U23s to our first team is a real plus point and perhaps gives us the edge in these youngsters are signing for us.

This is the way to go. If we are to become a club with a reputation of promoting youth, we need to actually play them. There are people on this board who jump all over posters who suggest they want to see an emphasis on youth. If we aren't producing our own youngsters, signing other clubs academy products is the next best/cheapest thing. Released players we are interested in will look at us and see the likes of Bagan, Sang and Colwill getting regular game time, making us a more attractive option.

Regarding Mick and his football, given the choice I think he'd rather not be playing the youngsters. His hand has been forced. Not complaining though, I think its good for the club.
