Callum Paterson's verdict on NML links to Wednesday
Callum Paterson believes Nathaniel Mendez-Laing would be a "great acquisition" for Sheffield Wednesday if he were to sign.
After having his contract terminated by Cardiff City for testing positive for cocaine use, he tried to get his career back on track with Neil Warnock up at Middlesbrough.
But he was let go by Boro this summer and is yet to find a club for this season.
YorkshireLive this week reported that Darren Moore was interested in Mendez-Laing, but had not made a move for the player just yet.

Paterson, though, believes his old Bluebirds pal would be a welcome addition up at Hillsborough.
"He’d bring pace, power, directness, a good runner. He’s got a great delivery and he’s great with his feet.
"He’d be a great acquisition for anyone."

We did the right thing to get rid, even his mate Warnock has dumped him! Division 1 at best now!
