So i've just heard...

(And forgive me for posting as I don't usually post 'ITK' stuff).

I have been told that Wolves' interest in Moore is quite genuine. I'll admit I saw this as a non-starter (why on earth would Wolves want a 29 year journeyman striker with one prolific championship season behind him??) but they have tabled an opening bid for Moore and Moore is keen to move. Playing reguarly isn't as much a priority as it was prior to the Euros and the Premier payday is too big to turn down for a player who has spent most of his career earning relative peanuts until his Cardiff move.

Have heard that he will be omitted fron tomorrow's team altogether as Wolves have firmed up their interest and tabled an offer which the club must clearly be looking to accept (if not for some negotiation).

Cannot say this is true and I am sure tomorrow will tell but given where this has come from I unfortunately feel it is correct.

I smiled at that, because it put me in my place and factually you are actually correct... my comments are typical of how the situation might play out at our club and I wouldn't be surprised one iota if I got close.

IF he goes ( good luck to him by the way) and IF we get £10M+, and IF the board were proved to have injected at least 3/4 of that into the first team, and IF they bought 2 or 3 proven Championship Quality players , I would come on here and highly commend the board, and applaud their efforts to 'have a real go' thus time round.

I have no problem with him going as long as we get a sizeable transfer fee (realistically around 10 million) AND get two players in - an attacking midfield played and a replacement for Moore.

The challenge is that if transfers are left late in the window then getting a replacement is very difficult.

Knowing city we will take 5 million and will just lump Flint up top.

I think it’s more about cutting the enormous wage bill we have. Getting rid of the high earners and trying out our youth which tbf many board members have been suggesting for years We’ve had it pretty good and I guess it’s time to draw in the purse strings.
