Wolves fans are praising loanee Ryan Giles on Twitter

Wolverhampton Wanderers have yet to get off the mark this season, but their loanee Ryan Giles has got off to a flyer.

The left wing-back is on loan at EFL Championship side Cardiff City at the moment, and he managed two assists during his team’s 3-1 win against Millwall.

Even more impressively, the young full-back did not even start the game.

Giles, 21, has made an impressive start to life in Wales under ex-Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, recording four assists in his first four games.

The Bluebirds sit sixth in the second-tier table on eight points.

Does Giles have a future at Wolves?

Last season, Giles shone during loan spells in the Championship with Coventry City and Rotherham United.

The youngster sparked interest among a number of potential suitors over the summer, and Wolves decided that Cardiff would be best for his development.

This was a very carefully thought out decision, according to Technical Director Scott Sellars, who chose Cardiff due to the number of crosses they put in.

Wolves fans may be hoping to see one of their young players turn out for the first-team in the near future. Since Morgan Gibbs-White, not one academy product has made more than five starts.

Wolves fans have gone on football forums saying how unhappy they are about them loaning out Giles.
