" Hope to see a good crowd today "

Sat Aug 21, 2021 11:25 am

Just arriving into Cardiff, plenty of City fans on the train today.

There really is no excuses for there not to be a good crowd.

- Rainy day so not much else for people to do

- Reasonable prices

- Plenty of Millwall fans coming so should be a decent atmosphere

- Team haven't lost yet and need our support

People can't keep on using Covid as an excuse, if you won't go back to normal now then you never will.

Will be totally embarrassing if we have less than 20,000 inside the stadium today but really I'd want it to be at least a couple of thousand more than that.

I don't have a lot of money but if I can travel from Worcestershire then those who live local can put in the effort.

If you haven't decided whether to go yet, get yourself down to the CCS :thumbright: :bluebird:

Why do we think there SHOULD be over 20k?

I've seen a few posts suggesting it should be anywhere between 20k/23k and we should be embarrassed with anything less. I cant see it myself.

There are reasons for it to be under that; holidays, ST sales, player spending, opposition, legacy issues regarding Covid whatever your thoughts on the matter.

Obviously would be very happy to be proved wrong. :ayatollah:

Im in agreement with you on this,I dont get this 20k+ being "expected"
There are a multitude of reasons for people not going, and to dismiss those who have reservations around covid, and crowds is unfair imho, people have reacted in wildly different ways with covid, and I can say, hand on heart, even my nephew, who has been a st holder for years, and travelling away, has said he isnt going, and isn't sure when he will go again, all due to his "fears".
I still think 18/19k wilk turn up, but to expect more, only allows for negativity to raise its ugly head, if we dont get the numbers "expected" we have to see how the situation pans out I guess, and wait to see if people decide to return or not. CCFC!

Capital City.
'So called Football Nation'.
Huge catchment area.
Not been out of the top two divisions in nearly 20 years.
Unbeaten in 4.
Cheap tickets.
All been stuck in for over a year craving things to do.
1000+ away fans coming.
Saturday 3pm kick off.

Let's be honest, anything under 20,000 is poor and for me just proves that Cardiff is not an out and out Football loving city.

Whilst I think that's quite sad, it doesn't really bother me, I have kind of accepted it. I remember all the talk of us being a sleeping giant and always thought we would get massive crowds playing the likes of Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday in Division one at the time but it just hasn't happened to the extent many thought it would.

“ FAIR PLAY TO THE CCFC COMMITTEE “

“I SAY IT AS I REALLY SEE IT” :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluescarf:

To go to the away games at the moment it’s pay on the day / night when ever the games are :bluebird: :bluebird:

You don’t need to be a season ticket holder or member to pay on the gate :bluebird:

As to home games , Fair play to the CCFC board our home ticket prices are one of the cheapest in the Championship and you can pay on the day :bluebird: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Our Season tickets are excellent value for Championship football And U 16’s at £49 for a season unbelievable/ fantastic value :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

We are one of the Cheapest in the Championship and the majority of our fans including myself never paid for this season as it was carried over.

So come on BLUEBIRDS get your season tickets, we have currently 13,000, we should be looking at 18,000 plus. :bluebird: :bluebird:

Less than 4 years ago we had nearly 24,000 season ticket holders and a waiting list.

Support your club NO matter who the opposition is :bluebird: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Not asking for 33,000 capacity crowds, NO reason to not get 22,000 plus crowds, not asking a lot :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

You have your home grown players and one of the best strikers ever at City Kieffer Moore, now turn up and support the Bluebirds.

NO EXCUSES:

3pm kick offs, weather ok , not live on Sky, cheap priceS , kids not in school, transport running and it’s not Xmas shopping.

And you can pay on the day :bluebird: :bluebird:
