A few points about the game

Everyone played really well.

Blackpool were pretty poor though.

In terms of players.

We are so lucky to have two top quality keepers. Super save from Phillips from a swerving and deflected shot in the second.

Back 3 really solid. Flint the pick of the bunch for what he offered in the opposition box as much as his defensive duties.

Ng and Bagan had their best games for us for some time. I had been concerned about Ng in pre season but he seemed back to his best against Blackpool. The players reaction and praise for Bagan when he committed a professional foul to prevent a Blackpool attack was fantastic. Excellent maturity from the lad.

Pack and Ralls did well... Pack especially.. although still too many hoofs when simple passes were on.

Bacuna for me was MOTM.. his energy and tackling was superb. When Blackpool doubled up on their left in the second half Bacuna slotted in front of Ng and literally won everything. He won so many second balls. He's no No. 10, but bloody hell he offers the midfield so much energy.

Giles.. so quick and his crossing is out if this world... Probably the best crosser we have had for some time... Dare I say his crossing is better than Wilsons. He should have had a goal. But what an asset.

Collins... A workhorse.. bullied them all day, quicker than I thought. But needs a goal.

We seem to be an excellent away side but at home we will need to be smarter on the ball, perhaps a change to the formation with an extra attacking player starting or coming on sooner... Otherwise better teams will do us or we are destined for a lot of draws

I can’t disagree with any of that mate, apart from I had Morrison as MoM

Good write up that mate which i enjoyed reading.

Only listened to the game on the City player (which while I love it, I always take with a pinch of salt as they watch through blue tinted specs) so good to hear other views and sounds really positive.

A very balanced and well written account of the game. I couldn't disagree with any of that.
I know it was only one game and Blackpool didn't look the best, but I felt really encouraged by the performance and feel optimistic about the rest of the season.
