UPDATED: Cardiff‘S U18’s were 2nil up then woeful defending let league one Hull City’s 18’s come back to win 3-2
Bad start to the season for Cardiff‘S U18’s
Cardiff City’s U18’s start of their new campaign away to League 1 Hull City’s U18’s.
With so much expectations and CCFC Committee media / press saying that Cardiff have now some of the best youngsters coming through and seen in years, be good if they could get off to a winning start
Like manny other clubs , Hull City, Cardiff have moved the years up so many of the 18 yrs old are now in the U23’s and many of the 16 & 17yr olds now play for the Cardiff City U18’s
As to the U23’s , Cardiff were one of the only clubs to put up to nine those players in to the City first team squad.
HULL CITY U18’S 3 CARDIFF CITY U18’S 2
H-T 0-1

McCarthy and Tan out both no good for city tan the problem all puppets under him !!
So the U18's concede three goals away from home late in the game and this is the fault of the owner and first team manager?
Holding the owner in disdain because of the ill thought out switch to red is understandable, but lets be realistic. I don't see a queue of people looking to buy clubs with large debts (Derby is an example), especially as the pandemic is not yet over. Imagine the financial hit if a new lockdown has to be imposed. It would be catastrophic for our club and many other clubs.
Lets put the U18 players now playing for the U23s back in the U18s then and put the first teamers back in the U23s - is that really what anyone wants. We have been crying out for more youngsters to be given a chance - well now they are. Lets wait and see how this turns out before we abandon all hope eh?
